Tantra Yoga

Satya Loka authentic, traditional Tantra Yoga classes, enable you to experience the sacred science of Tantra and Hatha Yoga. We explore how to embody Yogic knowledge and weave Yogic philosophy into Asana classes with creative depth.

The basis of the classes is to balance the subtle energetic body, combined with balancing the lunar and solar polarities. During our Asana classes, you will be nurtured into the self-empowerment of your own practice, which in turn will create the foundation for your teaching practice.

The asana classes are accessible for all, whether you are a curious beginner or seasoned practitioner, you will be guided into your own personal yoga practice. The moving meditation of asana enables centeredness, presence and cultivates inner peaceful joy.

Pranayama Theory and Practice

Pranayam is a powerful Yogic system that can not only heal and invigorate the physical and subtle energetic bodies, the benefits can also bring well-being to the mind and spirit.

A consistent and harmonious practice also enhances the vibrancy of life and helps to create a deeper relationship to Prana and the life force in general.

You will receive personal mentoring to help assess and develop your own effective relationship with Pranayama. Starting from in-depth basics to in-depth advancements.

This month-long yoga teacher training course takes place at Alpen Retreat, a retreat center hidden in the Austrian Alps that is owned by special friends of Satya Loka. The centre is just a short walk from a magnificent quiet lake, where you can have a refreshing and purifying swim, and at the base of breath-taking mountains.

On your days off, you are free to explore nature all around and even the local spas, where you can naturally integrate the teachings of the course and deepen into your natural flow. Your daily life at the retreat center will include wholesome, varied and nourishing meals, cozy cottage accommodations, and lots of mountain fresh air and pure drinking water.

A family-like sanctuary for authentic spiritual and personal development caring for the individual, the community, and the planet. Located near the main pass through the Alps, The Alpen Retreat is situated on the “Via Claudia Augusta”, a historic Roman road utilized by countless travelers including Napoleon during his march into Italy. At 1200 meters, this 500-year-old former manor house blends seamlessly into a mountain panorama of pine forests, jagged peaks, and crystal clear Alpine lakes.

How to find the Alpen Retreat

It is a 30-minute drive from the German border, 1 ½-hour from Italy, and 1-hour from Switzerland to the AlpenRetreat on the Tyrolean Fernpass.

Arrival by airplane

Memmingen Airport (FMM-München West). Within a 1-hour 20-minute drive and Innsbruck Airport (INN) within a 50-minute drive, Munich Airport (MUC) a 2-hour drive. Airport pick-up and drop-off are possible (a fee will apply).

There are bus connections from the surrounding cities directly to Alpen Retreat.

Arrival by train

There are 5 train stations within 30-minute drive: Lermoos, Ehrwald, Imst/Pitztal, Garmisch-Patenkirchen, and Reutte.

Arrival by Car

It is located on the Tyrolean Fernpass, in the north-west of Austria, close to the German border the AlpenRetreat is easily reached via the Fernpassstrasse B179 (E532).

At the top of the Fernpass (Fernpasshöhe) there is a petrol station named “Dolle”. Opposite it on the other side of the street is a roadside restaurant (Fernpaß Rast), a red building, and a big yellow building (the former Fernpass hotel). Follow the small street between the restaurant and the yellow house for about 200m and you have reached the AlpenRetreat.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 15% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
