The elegant simplicity of the 6 cottages and lovely staff will give you a feeling of being away and coming home. Kura Kura is a place to feel safe and supported. Originally built as a family house and in a way it still is.
The original rooms are old Java style houses and the new rooms are added in the same style. All rooms have an elegant simplicity with modern basic comforts that are used to in the Western world. Each room is decorated with love and care.
The heart of Kura Kura is the yoga shala or community space next to the small pool. Feel free to dip in whenever you like. Most rooms are built around the pool. Rooms are clean and fresh as the sea breeze, but protected and safe as the shield of a Kura Kura (turtle).
Each room is equipped with an ensuite bathroom with shower (warm / cold water) and Western toilet, comfortable beds covered with fine mosquito nets, a fan, and veranda. Each room can be set up with 2 single or a double bed.
Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.
This unique training takes the SYI shamanic influence, guided by the Peruvian medicine wheel, and pairs it with the Balinese sense of devotion and beauty. Guided by Bali-based facilitators, this training will be an all-encompassing venture into yoga, self, and deep healing of your physical and energetic bodies, returning to your heart’s essence.
School Yoga Institute offers an ashram-like yogic daily schedule, beginning with sunrise meditation and yoga asana in an open-air octagonal sanctuary. Participate in building community and carve a place in your heart for a new family to last a lifetime (at least). With a shaman gaze, you will go deeper, shedding layers to uncover ancient healing practices from the Indic world.
School Yoga Institute is also a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour and 500-hour level. All the yoga teacher training courses are recognized by Yoga Alliance. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate from School Yoga Institute and be able to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher).

Mystical yoga is the union of Sadhana yoga and indigenous shamanic practices, revealing your inner mystic. Derived from different yoga traditions, such as Ashtanga Vinyasa, Sivananda, and Iyengar, it is designed beyond form and tradition and aims to encompass the essence of yoga and spirituality as a practice of union.
SYI focuses on the roots of yoga tradition, where yoga is used as an instrument to reveal the truth of your existence as spiritual beings. They honor all traditions of yoga and shares 2 foundational sequences at the 200-hour level.
These sequences are the Sadhana Vinyasa flow and Sadhana Hatha flow, based primarily on the Ashtanga and Sivananda sequences respectively, and together, these allow you to develop any style of class you feel called to share.
Jed Pennell (Ganapati)'s roots run deep in the streams of earth knowledge. When not travelling the world facilitating yoga teacher training courses with School Yoga Institute (as of 2014 he has lead over a dozen trainings), Ganapati continues his mystical soul journey at home with his family.
From a very young age, Mindi was singing, dancing, and playing various instruments. As a soulful yoga teacher, Mindi has an uncanny ability to weave her musical gifts of singing and drumming in her yoga classes and enjoys finding new ways to inspire students on their own path of transformation. Listening to the transformational calling of her heart and her special connection to the land, Mindi decided to pursue both her 200-hour and 500-hour teacher training at the Mystical Yoga Farm. Over the course of several years, Mindi has accumulated nearly 1000 hours in trainings.

After a decade of global nomadism, Andréa has settled into her position as director of the Detox Department at one of the largest yoga studios in Asia, The Yoga Barn, in Bali, Indonesia.

Kura Kura is settled just 50 steps from the beach of Seseh. A traditional fishing village, untouched by major tourism but close enough to the shops and buzz of Seminyak and on walking distance from Echo Beach, a famous Bali surf spot.
