Shivoham Yoga 100 hours multi-style Ashtanga/Hatha/Vinyasa flow yoga teacher training in Goa is registered with Yoga Alliance USA and Yoga Alliance International. Yoga students and yoga practitioners can expand their knowledge of yoga after taking admission at Shivoham Yoga School. Yoga students will get to know about the different aspects of yoga - Asanas/pranayama, Kriya, meditation, bandha, anatomy, yogic philosophy and the art of teaching. 100-hour yoga teacher training in Goa offers you a whole new mental/physical/spiritual experience.

Explore yoga to know the true self and get an introduction to the 200-Hour Shivoham Yoga’s School teacher training course and spread the yoga teachings! This course is yoga alliance USA & Yoga alliance international certified that enables everyone to teach anywhere around the world as a certified yoga teacher. The yoga teacher training course will take you on the journey of personal and professional self-development. There is a course that is designed to meet the prerequisites of yoga.

Yoga practitioners who have been doing yoga for at least one to two years and would like to take up yoga teaching as a full-time or part-time job are welcome to join this course on the other hand even if you're very new with your yoga practice and would like to deepen your yoga knowledge you can join this course. Shivoham Yoga School accepts a maximum number of 10 to 15 students in the course. We ensure that the class should be conducted in a pious environment and good enough to offer you a dynamic, engaging, and holistic experience.

Anatomy

  • Basic concepts of functional anatomy and physiology related to movement
  • Application of anatomical principles to yoga practice (mechanics of yoga asana, its benefits, and contraindications, healthy patterns of movement, and more)
  • Practical anatomy with a major emphasis on the skeletal system, muscular system, connective tissue, nervous system, and movements of the major joints of the body
  • Muscular and skeletal differences for example, compression, tension and proportion, and orientation theory
  • Study of different regions of the body: The knee, hips, spine, and shoulder

Mastering the asanas (postures)

The course includes an in-depth practice of asanas (postures), Ashtanga yoga, Vinyasa flow as well as its theory. Students are also provided a separate class on alignment- adjustment-teaching methodology as these are part of the training, this class gives enough time to students to interact with their teachers and getting to know the limitations in their own practice.

  • Gentle warm-up exercises, dynamic warm-up, full-body warm-up before a practice
  • Sun salutations, traditional Hatha sun-salutation, sun-salutation with variations in a Vinyasa Flow
  • The concept of asanas, varieties, and effects
  • Traditional Hatha yoga poses, modern and contemporary yoga poses

Yoga philosophy

Yoga philosophy in Sanskrit called yoga darshan which means guiding students through the philosophy of life with the help of ancient yoga texts to the aim of yoga. 100-hour course at the yoga school imparts teachings of the mystic sage Patanjali’s ‘Patanjali yoga sutras’ which teaches students to learn how to live an appropriate life. Apart from this, you will also learn about the History of Yoga, Introduction to Yoga, Mudras, Bandhas, Pacha Koshas and Eight Limbs of Yoga. You will also through light on the lineage of yoga and study the origin of Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

Meditation and mantra chanting

Mantras - sound vibrations that permeate every cell of your being and allow your mind to dissolve and repose. Meditation is that which gives you deep rest. Meditation is an activity in which the practitioner just sits and allows the mind to dissolve. The rest in meditation is deeper than the deepest sleep that you can ever have. When the mind becomes free from agitation, is calm and serene and at peace, meditation happens.

Pranayama

The “prana” creates an aura around the body. It flows through thousands of subtle energy channels called ‘nadis’ and energy centers called ‘chakras’. The quantity and quality of prana and the way it flows through the nadis and chakras determines one’s state of mind. If the prana level is high and its flow is continuous, smooth and steady, the mind remains calm, positive and enthusiastic. Apart from this, you will also get an introduction to:

Every Saturday, Shivoham Yoga School will conduct workshops on arm-balancing, inversion, hip-opening, and backbends.

Daily schedule

Keeping the requirements of Yoga Alliance - USA, 200-hour YTT program follows an intense schedule where almost six to seven training hours in a day are assigned to some aspect of yoga. You may find the training intensive but transformational.

All of the food is handled with love, care, and cleanliness, our vegetables and fruits are washed with filtered water, and every dish represents the passion we feel for food. Please note that Shivoham Yoga School does not offer any non-vegetarian food (including eggs). Please inform Shivoham Yoga School of any dietary requirements when you arrive.

Between October and mid-April, there are direct chartered flights running regularly to Dabolim, Goa’s main airport.
