Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner, this course provides an excellent opportunity to dive deep into the world of yoga. From the foundational principles of Hatha Yoga to the dynamic flow of Ashtanga and Vinyasa, the soothing relaxation of Yin Yoga, and the exhilaration of Aerial Yoga, you’ll gain a broad and balanced understanding of different yoga practices. This course is open to anyone with a passion for yoga! Whether you’re looking to deepen your personal practice or embark on a journey to become a certified yoga instructor, this training welcomes both aspiring teachers and dedicated practitioners. No prior teaching experience is necessary, though a basic understanding of yoga is beneficial. If you plan to register with the Yoga Alliance, the 200-hour Fundamental Yoga Teacher Training course is the most important step. It’s the foundational certification required to begin your journey as a registered yoga teacher (RYT). You’ll need to complete this 200-hour course before you can move on to further certifications or officially register with the Yoga Alliance.
Shree Hari Yoga provided accommodation is uncomplicated yet cozy, ensuring comfort and cleanliness while being conveniently located near the school. Options include double and single rooms, each equipped with an attached bathroom featuring either Indian or Western-style toilets, along with hot water showers. Upon graduation from this course, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher in the 200 Hour Category (RYT 200).
During the teaching practice, you’ll cover Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, and Yin Yoga. You’ll learn how to teach the Ashtanga Primary Series, sequence Vinyasa classes, and confidently guide Hatha and Yin Yoga, with a focus on hands-on adjustments, alignment, and flexibility.
Teaching starts on day 5, where you’ll begin leading Asana classes. As the course progresses, you will gradually take on longer group classes, eventually teaching a 45-90 minute session.
You will receive feedback from both peers and teachers to help you improve your teaching skills. Key topics covered include hands-on adjustments, voice projection, class management, teaching styles, and ethics.
Additionally, you’ll receive detailed instruction to enhance your ability to plan and structure yoga classes. The course will dive into essential techniques such as demonstration, observation, assisting, and correcting. Other important subjects include injury management, safety guidelines, class presence, and the business side of yoga. By the end, you’ll be well-prepared to teach Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin Yoga with confidence.

Please book your flight to arrive at Dharamshala Gaggal Airport (DHM), which is about 12 kilometers south from Dharamshala and about 10 kilometers north of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh town. Other airports are Chandigarh International Airport (IXC) and Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).
To reach Dharamshala by train, one has to reach Kangra, Himachal Pradesh town by Kangra Valley Railway line from Pathankot, which is 94 kilometers away and then take a bus or a taxi. Pathankot is a broad gauge railway head. There is another railway line from Pathankot to Jogindernagar, a part of the Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh, which is a narrow-gauge line. The nearest station to Dharamshala on this line is Chamunda Marg, half an hour away, where a Shaktipitha is; the town is well connected by road to other parts of the country.
