Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya s a fully residential co-educational university with provision for the accommodation of about more than 1400 students. Various degree (undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D.), PG diploma, and certificate courses in disciplines like Yogic Science, Alternative Therapy, Indian Culture, Tourism, Psychology, Computer Science, Rural Management, Journalism and Mass Communication, Animation, Linguistics, Environmental Science, and Theology, etc are offered here. Some courses are available through distance learning mode as well. The teachers and professors of various universities in India and abroad offer their expertise, guidance, and wisdom to the students studying here.

Other unique features of the university include the holistic development of the students through regular Life Management classes, and special classes on the “Bhagwad Gita” and meditation by the Chancellor, Dr. Pranav Pandya, a highly respectable and known expert on the subject matter, every week. Furthermore, a good daily schedule with yagya (fire ceremony), yoga-classes, yogic mess food and Naadyoga (meditation) for a healthy lifestyle is a boon for its students. This three-day yoga retreat is a perfect weekend plan to freshen up and de-stress yourself. During this retreat, you will have outdoor pranayama / meditation sessions, three days of yoga classes, and a discussion on Introduction of Yoga. You will also have a discussion with a yoga expert, two classes on Basics of Yoga, and one Ayurvedic massage in a lush green, beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campus, it's a perfect location near the Ganges with a view of the Himalayas - a treat for the soul that gives you an ideal spiritual ambiance for yogic practices and true experience.

This retreat will take place in Haridwar at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV Campus), Uttarakhand, India. DSVV:

Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (D.S.V.V.) is a non-conventional center of higher learning, education and research based on the tenets of Indian culture and values as envisaged by the patron founder Pujya Gurudev Pt Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji, who was a renowned social reformer and a celebrated freedom fighter. DSVV is situated on the banks of the holy Ganges, in the lap of the mighty Himalayas on the border of Haridwar within Dehradun District. It is one way from Haridwar to Rishikesh on NH-58. The University spreads across a sprawling campus of 90 acres. It was the first to be established under the Act of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, passed on April 11, 2002. Dev Sanskriti University is duly recognized by the University Grant Commission (U.G.C), accredited by NAAC, and ISO certified for quality education. The university is financially supported by the Sri Vedmata Gayatri Trust, a charitable spiritual trust with its headquarter at Shantikunj, Haridwar. It is thus self-financed through people’s contribution and not through any grant from the State or the Central Government or any other official body. The nearby places are Rishikesh, Raja Ji National Park, Shantikunj Ashram, Sapt Sarovar (Seven Streams of River Ganga), and Dehradun.


In the ashram, yogic food will be provided during the training course. You will be served daily vegetarian meals, detox juices, and herbal teas. Shriram Yog Prashikshan & Anusandhan Society cares about hygiene, nutrition, and the quality of food.

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).

Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) is the nearest international airport. From there, you can either take a flight, train, bus, or cab. Haridwar is about 240 kilometers from New Delhi and it takes about six hours by road to reach the campus during days with normal traffic.

You may even consider booking a domestic flight from New Delhi to the nearest airport, Dehradun Airport (DED) in Dehradun. The flight takes around one hour and the airport is located only about an hour away by road from the university.

Arrival by train

AC trains from New Delhi Railway station (NDLS) to the Haridwar Junction railway station (HW) is another viable option.

Arrival by bus

Buses (AC and Volvo) are another option which you may explore at your own convenience.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
