"I've just completed a 3 day yoga retreat at Siddha Yoga Peeth and loved it! The yoga classes were demanding yet relaxing and energising, the visit to the caves and Ganges was very special. I very much appreciate how Shailendra and his team went out of their way to make sure I didn't miss out on anything (despite having odd arrival / departure times) and made sure I was happy and comfortable. If I am fortunate enough to visit Rishikesh again, this is where I will be staying."

"I had the most amazing 24 days at Siddha Yoga Peeth. This was my first visit to India, and a beginner to Yoga and Meditation, everyone made me feel welcome, I would highly recommend Siddha Yoga Peeth to anyone who wants to learn yoga or has been doing it for years but would like to improve."

"Vimel, our teacher, was brilliant in showing us all, I am now hooked on yoga and feel 100% better and relaxed (as Vimel would say it's all in the mind...). Since being back I have taken up yoga on a weekly basis.. working on my Head stands.By the end of my stay I felt like I was part of the family and I will be returning, to carry on with all that I learned. The food was lovely and fresh, not being a vegetarian before I have now cut back on meat and feel a lot better for it. Thank you for the wonderful experience of India and yoga."

  • Review by Kathrin Ernstberger from Germany

"I did the short 4-day yoga and meditation retreat at Siddha Yoga Peeth in February 2017. I wish I stayed longer. It was my first time to India and also my first proper retreat and I am glad I chose SYP. Everyone made me feel welcome and also comfortable. With the morning yoga, evening meditation and massages, this retreat couldn't get any better for spirituality and wellbeing. I will return. Thanks Shai, Meenakshi (the Doctor), Mohit and team. I will see you soon."

"I've just got home from a 7-day retreat here and it was an unforgettable week!!"

"I was inexperienced to yoga and meditation but I have learned a great deal about both with the guidance and support from the whole team there! Not only that, but I was educated about the Indian culture & traditions and experienced some 'once in a lifetime' moments! The food was incredible, the team were extremely welcoming and it was a great place to relax, meet people and learn about yourself!"

"Just completed a three-day course here on our way through India and had an amazing time. Neither my partner or I are very experienced in yoga, but even in our three days, we have learned huge amounts and been given plenty to get on with at home. The meditations were fantastic and led us to explore new areas of ourselves. The staff are absolutely wonderful, very warm and welcoming. Me and my partner felt massively at home here and are very grateful we chose this yoga school."

  • Review by Andy from Singapore

"I highly recommend Siddha Yoga Peeth. I've recently completed 21 days there as a yoga beginner on the yoga and detox retreat. I now have a much better understanding of meditation, nutrition and yoga thanks to the teachers there. I left feeling mentally refreshed and physically much stronger and fitter having lost several kilograms of excess weight!"

"I loved several aspects of the place. Firstly the yoga teacher Vimal was a superstar. He really took me from (very very very) beginner stage and taught me how I could improve through daily practice. He tailored the classes so that the more able students could push themselves whilst not losing sight of the beginners like me. I've continued with self practice since I left and one day I hope I will be back to learn more! Thank you for everything you taught while I was there."

"The food was amazingly fresh and well prepared. Before going, I was worried that I would not be able to deal with 21 days of vegetarian food. I've not spent such a period of time without eating meat. Honestly I should not have worried at all as the food was delicious and always so fresh I didn't miss non-veg food. Thank you to everyone in the kitchen and cafe for providing nourishing food on a daily basis!"

"I really enjoyed the breathing flow and meditation classes too. Again, they were well paced so that I could understand the basics quickly and then start to include these ideas in my daily life. Thank you to Shailendra and Kamakshi for these classes and also with the great day trips to the Evening River Prayers, the Vashishtha caves and the yoga class by the Ganges. These trips were a real highlight so thank you for taking time to organize these, so we could see more of Rishikesh during our stay."

"If I had to summarize I would say that everyone at Siddha Yoga Peeth is geared up to give you the opportunity to learn and to explore how yoga, meditation and nutrition can improve your life and the body you live in. That is really their passion and their motivation. I hope one day to be back for more!"

"I did a four-day yoga retreat at Siddha Yoga Peeth in January 2017. Even though it was short but it gave me a great introduction on how the retreat is like and at the end of it I wished I could stay longer. I definitely will come back for a longer retreat in near future. Watched the Ganga Aarti performance on the first night, massage and outdoor yoga by the Ganges river around Rishikesh. Daily yoga in the morning has allowed me to stretch myself further and I learned the different styles of yoga. Meditation and breathing sessions were conducted whilst I was there. The staff has really shown me all the things during my stay here. Last but not least the yummylicous vegetarian food during the retreat has been amazing and I couldn't really fault that at all. Overall great experience!"

"I have enjoyed a seven-day yoga retreat at Siddha Yoga Peeth in end November. I loved Rishikesh and this place very much. The daily routine was just right with sufficient time for private practice (on the roof with a view) and for exploring the surrounding. The excursions to the mountains and the Ganges are not to be missed. I learned a lot from the yoga and meditation teachers who were attentive at all times. Can't wait to be back for more - a longer yoga retreat, or even a teacher training! :)"
