Cerro Negro volcano
Head to the youngest volcano in Central America, two hours from camp, hike up, and then sand-board down! Post hike, youll shower and go to Leon for dinner, drinks, and maybe even some dancing. The price is 110 USD per person, with a minimum of two people.
Fishing excursion
Bring your rod and tackle gear and head out in one of the panga boats for four hours, with an experienced local fisherman to try your luck at catching Spanish mackerel, tuna, snook, snapper, and more. Its rare to come home empty handed, and you only need to go right off the coast to do some trolling and or bottom feeder fishing. The price is 150 USD for up to five people.
Flor de Cana rum factory tour
Head past Leon to the famous Flor De Cana rum factory tour, 90 minutes away from camp. Post tour, youll go to Leon for some dinner, drinks, and maybe even some dancing. The price is 120 USD per person, with a minimum of two people.
Golfing excursion
Head south to get in a game of golf as well as surf a different beach and reef break. There are three nine-hole courses along with a complete game improvement facility with practice greens, bunkers, short game area, and range. The price is 90 USD per person. Club and cart rentals are not included in the above price, but are available.
Laguna de Apoyo
Head to the Laguna de Apoyo, two and a half hours from camp, a four mile wide and 656 feet deep freshwater lake at the base of a volcano. After having lunch you can swim and enjoy the afternoon and then youll head to Granada to enjoy some dinner and drinks. The price is 130 USD per person with a minimum of two people.
Masaya volcano
On your way to Granada, you will stop at the well-known site of the Masaya volcano, where you can see it smoking with sulfur and have a great view from the lookout. Then youll head to lunch or dinner in Granada. The price is 110 USD per person with a minimum of two people.
Matagalpa
Head north to Matagalpa to see the coffee farms and picturesque landscape and have a great steak lunch. Youll travel to a cloud forest where you can take a tour of a coffee estate and see how coffee is grown and processed, or hike one of the available 14 trails. The price is 200 USD per person with a minimum of two people. It includes one night of lodging in Matagalpa and a nice dinner.
Mombacho zip line or hiking
First, venture for two hours to Mombacho volcano in the morning where youll hike and zip line through a coffee farm, at the volcano. After, youll head to Granada for dinner, drinks, and to check out an art gallery. The price is 130 USD per person with a minimum of two people.
Volunteering
If you prefer to do volunteer work, then there are a variety of options and locations available which include a medical clinic, learning garden, summer-school for kids program, beach cleanup, local school, local caf, art center, paint the town project, and the reforestation program.
