Program

What to expect

This is a 200-hour YTT that will bring you to the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. The course will start on November 16, 2024 and will conclude on December 15, 2024.

This yoga intensive includes six days of YTT each week with one day off (usually Wednesdays) for personal leisure and exploration. On lecture days, they will include a combination of physical practice as well as theory. Both Vinyasa and Yin classes as well as understanding of asanas will be covered within this YTT.

The Source places an emphasis on anatomy and alignment, teaching skills, offering modifications, props and adjustments, choreography and sequencing, and holding space.

Theory includes applied yogic philosophy, mindfulness and meditation, pranayama, Ayurveda, reflexology, "Grief Recovery Yoga," and the business of yoga. Students will have dedicated time to complete various assignments such as anatomy, class design, business development, chakras, eight limbs, and teaching assessments in both Vinyasa and Yin yoga.

Residential training

Shared accommodation in a private house will be provided along with a fully equipped and stocked kitchen for wholesome meals. They endeavor to provide a variety of groceries for vegan and vegetarian options. They are also privileged to have a housekeeper to assist with cooking, cleaning, and creating this "yoga home" for the month.

Parts of the YTT will take place at the studio and others at the house. They will provide transport where required.
