This teacher training course offers a thorough investigation into Hatha yoga and some of its sister traditions, enhanced by learning the principles of Eastern healing modalities. Through this experiential investigation, Three Treasures Yoga facilitates a deeper understanding of yoga in participants by facilitating a deeper investigation of self. Three Treasures Yoga teaches a strong foundation of the eight limbs of classical Hatha yoga and offers an authentic base of knowledge from which students can investigate intelligently and creatively, the ever-changing face of yoga in a modern world. Integrated into the investigation is mantra, expression, and Bhakti yoga as a means by which to help the students fully immerse themselves in the investigation of a life lived from the heart.

Accommodation

Rincon Chico is a newly renovated gem on the banks of the Rio Palena, in the beautiful Los Lagos region of Northern Patagonia. You will be housed in one of the three large cabins, each with two or three rooms with en-suite bathrooms and wood-burning fireplaces. In some cabins, there is a small common area between the rooms. At Rincon Chico, Three Treasures Yoga offers shared accommodation only. Rincon Chico is also an opportunity to 'detox' from modern life with no internet connection.

Three Treasures Yoga Teacher Training in Chile Program

Certifications

Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Three Treasures Yoga. Registration with Three Treasures Yoga meets identified standard set by the organization.

Level 1 yoga teacher training curriculum:

  • Yoga asana and pranayama (54 hours)
  • Philosophy, chanting, and meditation (36 hours)
  • Practice and teaching (36 hours)
  • Personal study and study group (36 hours)
  • Anatomy and physiology (20 hours)
  • Eastern philosophy / healing teachings (18 hours)
  • Sequencing and theming
  • Bhakti yoga and Nada yoga
  • Karma yoga
  • The 'business of yoga'
  • Final examination (written and practical) to evaluate students understanding of the course
  • 6-month personal practicum following completion of three-week intensive course

Beside that, the material will cover the modern interpretations of yoga exploring the yoga sutras, Buddhist teachings, and Sanskrit words nutrition, Ayurveda, and other right living classes.

Instructors

Massimo Cantara
Massimo lived and studied in England for over 10 years, speaks fluent English, and is a member of Three Treasures Yoga. He is a registered yoga teacher with Shiatsu yoga Mediterraneo as well as a professional Shiatsu therapist and teacher. He is also a qualified kinesiologist and craniosacral therapist. In 1999, he founded Holismos, a center for yoga and complementary therapies in Poggibonsi, Tuscany, Italy. He also teaches anatomy, physiology, and bodywork for yoga teacher training.
Molly Cofman
Molly completed her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a Master of Fine Arts in Theater Arts and Dance from the University of Arizona. Molly was introduced to yoga in 1993 in Tucson, Arizona while on a journey to keep herself healthy as a dancer. Although incoming from a dance background, she connected immediately with the asana practice, Molly found herself intensely inspired to learn more about yogic philosophy.

In the heart of Northern Patagonia in the Los Lagos region, Palena epitomizes an experience of nature with simplicity and comfort. Nestled on the banks of the Rio Palena, the serenity and abundance of untouched nature make it an ideal place to dive deep into the practice and investigation of yoga. Northern Patagonia is the greenest, wildest, and narrowest part of Chile. Here, you can hear the whisper of simple days gone by, you can witness life as it is in true connection with nature, and feels the beauty of life plugged-in. As yoga draws you closer and closer to your true nature, Patagonia compliments the journey by holding you close to the heartbeat of the earth.

Food

Three Treasures Yoga serves three locally sourced vegetarian meals per day. Life in Patagonia is close to the earth, and so is the nourishment. Meals are simple, tasty, and plentiful.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL). After that, you will have to take a local flight to El Tepual International Airport (PMC). From El Tepual International Airport (PMC), there is an overnight ferry to Chaiten or another local flight to arrive at Chaiten Airport (WCH), where a bus will bring you to Rincon Chico.
