Retreat amenities include a large open dining area, various hammocks and relaxation zones, two open-air yoga shalas, and a natural mountainside location.

Bamboo House

Simple and cozy, the bamboo house is surrounded by luscious greenery and gives the real feeling of jungle living, It stands out with its hand-crafted wooden balcony and home-styled bathroom.

The Bamboo House is equipped with a comfortable double bed, mosquito net, attached private bathroom, fan, shelving for personal items, bedside lamp, and recently installed balcony hammock that gives the feeling of lying above the jungle canopy.

Earth House

With soft earthy colors, lots of natural light, and hand-crafted walls, the Earth House gives its guests a sense of natural grounding and calm, while the open sky bathroom lets you shower under the stars. The Earth House is equipped with 2 single beds, AC, bedside lamps, storage shelves, and a spacious balcony with inbuilt hammocks.

Trikonasana house

The Trikonasana House is named after one of the team's favorite yoga poses (the triangle). Standing 6 meters tall Trikonasna house has two levels, the ground floor, and the cozy loft above.

Trikonasana House is equipped with 2 single beds below and 1 double bed in the loft above. there are fans, bedside lamps, shelving, a spacious balcony, and inbuilt balcony hammocks for all-day relaxation.

Rose House

The Rose House is a flower lover's dream! surrounded by sweet-scented rose bushes and large mulberry trees the Rose house is a beautiful sight all year round. It is equipped with 2 comfortable single beds, an attached private bathroom, A/C, shelving for personal items, bedside lamps, and the popular inbuilt balcony hammocks to relax and enjoy the view during your stay.

Nature tents

The nature tents are simple yet comfortable canvas tents, set up on elevated teak wooden platforms with natural bamboo roofing for added protection from the sun and rain. The tents have battery power and are equipped with a comfortable double mattress, a fan, a bedside table, and a lamp. There is room to relax on the spacious balcony with a comfy hammock and bean bag surrounded by greenery and overlooking the mountains.

Bamboo bungalows

The bamboo bungalows are simple, comfortable, and sustainable. They are hand-built by locals in the traditional northern style and are perfect for the budget traveler who still prefers the comfort of a private room.

The bamboo bungalows have a spacious balcony with a mountain view and are equipped with a comfortable double mattress (or 2 singles), fans, bedside lamps, storage shelves, mosquito net, hammock, and an attached private bathroom.

Wooden Cottages

Full of character, the Wooden Cottages are built entirely from refurbished wood collected in the local area and designed with a cozy and minimalist feel. They built these cottages completely by hand in May 2024.

The Wooden Cottages have a spacious balcony with a mountain view and are equipped with comfortable double mattresses, fans, bedside lamps, storage shelves, mosquito nets, a hammock, and an attached private bathroom.

True Nature is located 45 minutes north of Chiang Mai City the natural setting of lush green mountains, rice fields, and banana plantations. Here we offer our nourishing and rejuvenating yoga and meditation retreats, along with in-depth yoga teacher training programs, meditation immersions, and eco-homestay living experiences.

True Nature is a family-owned and run retreat center in Thailand dedicated to cultivating the values of community, nature, well-being, and clarity. Together with their team, they had a vision that they wanted not only to create for themselves but to share with others.

The property itself is an immersion into nature, far from any distractions and disturbances. there is an organic garden that the team cares for to grow a variety of vegetables, free-range chickens that produce eggs, and an abundance of fruit trees that provide fresh fruit all year round. True Nature is not a glamorous 5-star retreat with amazing villas or a huge swimming pool. They have simple and wholesome values that they live by and the property reflects that.

Food

The food at True Nature is delicious, healthy, wholesome, and prepared by resident chef Ning each day with an abundance of love and care. Ning taps into the rich tradition of Thai cuisine along with some healthy Western and Italian favorites. All of the food and ingredients are organic, locally sourced, and in many cases grown right here in their very own garden. All of the meals are vegetarian or vegan and they are flexible to support those with special dietary needs.

What's on the menu

The menu changes all year round to suit the seasons, but you can be certain of one thing, Ning will be serving up delicious wholesome home-cooked meals daily to keep you energized and balanced throughout your stay. For lunch and dinner expect an abundance of stir-fries, curries, and soups, accompanied by an assortment of fresh salads and fruits. Breakfast includes fresh fruits, mixed muesli, granola, overnight oats, smoothie bowls, chia bowls, fresh eggs, and more.

The chef

Along with many other roles at True Nature, Ning is the resident in-house chef. She puts plenty of time and effort into her organic garden where she grows a variety of food throughout the year. Ning prepares each meal with a sense of love and gratitude. She draws from her long-time knowledge and creativity in the kitchen to keep things fresh and new all the time.

Every Saturday is pizza night! True Nature Chiang Mai is the only retreat center in the whole world that hosts a "make your pizza night," well maybe not in the whole world, but it's possible.

There will be a meeting place and a van arranged to pick up all trainees from Chiang Mai town on the first day of the training.
