Budhi Ayu and Full Moon Villa are wonderful gorgeous quiet resort about a 10-minute walk from the yoga center and near Budhi Ayu where the other students stay. The rooms are clean and spacious with good Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, A/C, fridge, tea kettle, TV, King size bed, sunny bathroom with hot shower, bath tub, large balcony with table and chairs overlooking a large pool surrounded by lush tropical greenery and neighboring rice fields. This course is carefully designed according to Yoga Alliance standards, but also flexible to student needs and subject to change. Additional classes may be required to complete all hours and requirements. 1) Techniques and Practice 2) Teaching Methodology 3) Anatomy and Physiology 4) Yoga Philosophy 5) Teaching Practice 6) Self-Study.

1. Techniques & Practice (100-hours)

Receive guided practice and analytical training of about 50 traditional hatha yoga asanas with emphasis on correct alignment. Then learn connect various poses with movement and breath to create sun salutations, graceful dynamic vinyasa flows and various other sequences.

Acro & SUP Yoga

Acro nurtures trust and communicate in fun and challenging new ways. SUP Yoga offers a direct connection to nature while floating above the crystal clear waters. Both help deepen the skills for regular asanas, as the require maximum focus and balance.

Aerial Yoga

ULU Yoga is famous for its cushioned aerial swings and unique style. Mix aerial with traditional hatha, vinyasa, acro, restorative & performance. Swings support the body weight to enhance the range of motion, attain correct alignment, do advanced poses, decompress the spine & cure back pain. Also, practice with regular silk hammocks.

50-hr Aerial TTC

Stay for an extra week and join the 7day 50HR Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Course ($699) to earn an additional Yoga Alliance Certificate of Continuing Education. Receive detailed instruction of aerial analytics, alignment, sequencing, class design, and teaching practice, plus specialized workshops in aerial acro, restorative and performance.

2. Teaching Methodology (25-hours)

Learn communication skills, teaching styles, teacher qualities, student learning process, group dynamics, fulfilling individual needs, principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting.

3. Anatomy & Physiology (20-hours)

Learn the biomechanics of movement, health benefits of various asanas, techniques to treat illnesses and injuries, principles of compression and proportion and bodily systems (respiratory, muscular, skeletal and energetic).

4. Yoga Philosophy (30-hours)

Cultivate a deep understanding of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, 8 limbs, yamas, niyamas, nadis, chakras, koshas, gunas, doshas and karma. Study the various branches and history of yoga. Learn how to integrate this wisdom and create an authentic yogic lifestyle.

5. Teaching Practice (10-hours)

Become a confident skilled instructor. Practice teaching everyday in pairs plus leading the whole class. Design and teach 4 complete classes. Learn assisting and hands on adjustments. Received detailed feedback analysis.

6. Group Work & Self-Study (20-hours)

Prepare the body and mind for intensive training. There are Pre-course videos to practice basic poses. During the course students do 1hr daily self-study and group work: read the manual, review notes and design classes.


ULU Yoga is an official Yoga Alliance School. Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®). Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential. Since 2014, ULU Yoga has led over 100 trainings and helped graduates start a business and get jobs at elite yoga centers and resorts.


The course focuses on how to practice correctly, explore what’s possible with creative workshops and develop confidence as a skillful instructor. Students should take rest and skip advanced options. Some students have no experience and join for fun. Some are professionals seeking qualified certification.


ULU Yoga is famous for its unique style and cushioned aerial swings, which are sold around the world. The fitted padding and poly-thread fabric provide greater comfort and support so you don’t slip or bruise the skin like with regular silk hammocks, thus facilitating a greater range of practice and development.


Students receive printed manuals. ULU Yoga recommends studying Teaching Yoga by Mark Stephens, Hatha Illustrated by Martin Kirk, Yoga Anatomy by Leslie Kaminoff, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Bhagavad Gita.

This training takes place in the vibrant yoga mecca of Ubud, a vibrant place full of Balinese culture, boutique shopping and healthy cuisine. Ubud Yoga Center is a contemporary two-tiered complex building created by one of Balinese’s most prominent international award-winning architect.

The venue has a breathtaking shala with glass walls overlooking a lush green jungle river. On Sundays, the class visits beautiful Canggu Beach, which is popular with the yoga crowd. During break time can visit Ubud's exotic Monkey Forest and sacred Water Temple for purification. And Bali of course is a top world destination for yoga, wellness, culture, and nature.


Packages with accommodation include free breakfast or lunch at your hotel. For breakfast, ULU Yoga recommends you to eat at the Ubud Yoga Center Cafe, which has a beautiful outdoor yogic cafe with an incredible variety of healthy nutrient-dense whole foods with with locally sourced vegetables, seasonal fruits and plant-based foods plus whole grain bread, homemade muesli, free range eggs, exotic tropical fruits, world famous Bali coffee and herbal tea plus more. Ubud is regarded as the cultural center of Bali. It is famous as an arts and crafts hub, and much of the town and nearby villages seems to consist of artists' workshops and galleries. There are some remarkable architectural and other sights to be found, and a general feeling of well being to be enjoyed, all thanks to the spirit, surroundings, and climate of the place. A big variety of different yoga styles can be practiced here with popular teachers from all over the world in a multitude of different yoga studios and retreat centers.

Bali spirit festival

This festival takes place from March 29 until April 3, and is one of the world's most inspiring celebrations of global community, world music and wellbeing! It summons yoga enthusiasts, dancers, musicians and spirituality seekers from all corners of the globe, joining together to inspire one another and nourish each individual's potential within. ULU Yoga can arrange group discounts for everybody who would like to join.

Arts and culture

The town and area has a number of art museums, such as the Blanco Renaissance Museum, the Puri Lukisan Museum, Neka Art Museum, and the Agung Rai Museum of Art. Nearby is the Museum Rudana in Peliatan. The Tek Tok is a traditional Balinese dance that is accompanied by musical sound of mouth 'Tek Tok' altogether with various combinations of body movement and other sounds. Many performances of traditional Balinese dance are happening all around Ubud.


The Ubud Monkey Forest is a sacred nature reserve located near the southern end of Jalan Monkey Forest. It houses the temple of death, and approximately 340 crab-eating macaque (Macaca fascicularis) monkeys live there.

The Campuhan ridge walk is a hill from where one can see two rivers - Tukad Yeh Wos Kiwa and Tukad Yeh Wos Tengen - merge. There is one-meter wide of paving block track about two kilometers to the top of the hill.


Kuta and Seminyak Beach are Bali's most famous surfing hot spots stretching for about three kilometers on the south coast of Bali. Blessed by great waves, it has become a famous tourist attraction with a big choice of hotels, bars, restaurants, night club, souvenir shops, shopping centers, entertainments, etc. The beauty of this beach is complemented by the spectacular sunrise that creates the romantic nuance.


Bali is Indonesia's most popular dive holiday destination. Many visitors find the attraction of good shore-based resort diving set against a stunning backdrop of huge, magnificent volcanoes and picturesque rice paddy terraces, simply irresistible.

The Gili Islands

Gili Islands are a great destination if you are looking for a remote island experience with excellent snorkelling and diving possibilities. Each island has several small resorts, usually consisting of a collection of huts for tourists, a small pool and restaurant. Automobiles and motorized traffic is prohibited on the islands by local ordinance, so the preferred method of transportation is by foot and bicycle or the horse-drawn carriage called a cidomo. Diving in and around the Gilis is also popular due to the abundance of marine life and attractive coral formations. From Ubud, take a transport to Padang Bai (e.g. Perama bus or taxi) - about an hour's drive. There you can catch all sorts of fast boats to the Gili Islands (1.5 hours on the boat).

Recommended Airports

Arrival by taxi

Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). From Denpasar airport, just take a taxi on arrival to your accommodation in Ubud. It costs about 20 USD and take about 30 minutes. It's easy to book yourself, but if you prefer, your resort can arrange one for you.
