You can stay onsite at the serene Bounty Resort, or just pay tuition and stay next door at Haad Son Resort or Hi Life Bungalows, which have more upscale accommodation.

Bounty Resort has Deluxe sea view rooms with large balconies, tv, and fridge. Family rooms are similar plus have two beds. Wooden bungalows (fan) have comfy hammocks with great ocean views. Standard rooms (fan) and Superior rooms (a.c.) are more modern with partial sea view balconies. Shared rooms (a.c.) are similar and have two beds.

All rooms have Wi-Fi, a private bathroom, towels, toiletries, and a tea kettle. The resort also has a great restaurant, swimming pool, laundry service, ATM, motorbike rental, taxi, travel and tour assistance.

CERTIFICATE

Since 2014 ULU Yoga has certified over a thousand new instructors and is accredited by Yoga Alliance as an RYS-200/300/500-hour school. Upon successfully completing this course you will receive a 35 Hour Aerial Yoga Training certificate, which RYT can register on Yoga Alliance as Continuing Education.

Details

On this course you will join students taking the 7 Day Aerial Yoga Teacher Training. You will do 5 days and leave early. For you, it is Aerial training, not teacher training. You will practice teaching in couples, but you are not required to design a class or teach a complete class or lead a group class. RYT will receive a Yoga Alliance CE Certificate.

Aerial Swing

During this course, you will train with the ULU Yoga Swing. The ULU Yoga Swing has soft cushion padding to provide greater comfort and support than regular aerial hammocks, which can burn and bruise the skin. ULU Yoga also has regular Aerial hammocks if you prefer to use those instead.

Level and Style

This course is open to all levels. Students are encouraged to take breaks and skip advanced poses. This focuses more on correct alignment, safe practice, teaching skills, and creative workshops. ULU Yoga does not teach advanced poses or silk-style tricks like wrapping, dropping, and spinning.

Course Content

Aerial Practice

ULU aerial is rooted in traditional alignment-based Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, pilates, and physical therapy. The classes are beginner-friendly and follow a carefully designed sequence, which is detailed with a 100-page book and video set. One morning you will do an Aerial on the beach and take pics flying over the water.

Aerial Asanas

Analyze individual poses to learn the safe practice, alignment, transitions, sequencing, common mistakes, adjustments, plus beginner and advanced variations. This course also includes 10 hours of online anatomy videos to learn about muscles, bones, fascia, and movement as a holistic system.

Aerial Workshops

Each day there is a special workshop. Aerial Acro uses swings to suspend flyers to easily achieve basic and advanced acro yoga poses. Restorative Aerial uses physical therapy techniques to decompress the spine and relieve back pain.

More fun

Afternoon activities

During the afternoon you can enjoy some free time to explore the island with other guests. Bounty Resort has a small private beach to enjoy some peaceful quiet time. Next door is the amazing Haad Yao Beach and Secret Beach where you will find many great restaurants, cafes, and fun activities like volleyball and kayaking.

Evening activities

At night usually all the students and guests go out together. Haad Yao Beach is a great place to find some live music, dancing, and fish bbq. The Night Market in Thong Sala has dozens of food carts to sample all of Thailand’s tasty delicacies. There you will also find great shopping for handmade arts, crafts, and fashion.

Included excursions

One morning, you will visit the resort's private beach and do Aerial yoga flying above the ocean to take amazing pictures. You may also visit nearby beaches, markets, and scenic tourist points for yoga, ecstatic dance, kirtan, sauna, live music, and other special events.

The breakfast includes a delicious vegan smoothie bowl with fresh tropic fruit, coconut yogurt, and mixed toppings. For lunch and dinner (average 6 USD per meal) you can eat at the resort or go out with the ULU Yoga team who will encourage, but not force you to make healthy choices. There are so many wonderful local markets, beach bars, and boutique cafes to explore.

This course includes one free entry to the mystical night sauna. Purge your body of toxins in the hot sauna then rejuvenate with an ice bath Boost your immune system, reduce inflammation and relieve stress. Chant kirtan around the bonfire gazing up at the stars and enjoying mystical sound healing.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Samui Airport (USM), Surat Thani Airport (URT), or Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). From Bangkok, fly to Samui Airport (USM) (one hour, 100 USD), then take a ferry to Koh Phangan (30 minutes, 400 THB), then take a taxi to Bounty Resort (20 minutes, 200 THB). A cheaper option is from Bangkok, fly to Surat Thani Airport (URT) (one hour, average 40 USD), then take a ferry to Koh Phangan (four and a half hours, 400 THB), and then a taxi to Bounty Resort (20 minutes, 200 THB).

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 7 days before arrival.
