Study the myofascial and parasympathetic nervous system and their impact on the spine and overall health to bring liberation of mental and physical discomforts and activation of deep relaxation. Ulu yoga swing

ULU Yoga is famous for their unique style and cushioned aerial swings, which are sold around the world. The fitted padding and polythread fabric provides greater comfort and support so you don’t slip or bruise the skin like with regular silk hammocks, thus facilitating a greater range of practice and development. But you can do the whole course with regular silk hammocks if you prefer. ULU Yoga Swings are sold internationally for $180 retail.

Certificate

RYT receive a 50 hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training - Certificate of Continuing Education accredited by Yoga Alliance. ULU Yoga graduates teach all over the world at elite yoga studios and 5 star resorts. Many are not Yoga Alliance members, but instead have other certifications such as personal training, pilates and dance for example.

Level

This course is open to all levels and students are recommended to take rest and modify as needed. Each week there is a group sharing circle to give feedback and ensure your personal and academic needs are met and your time is truly enjoyable and nurturing on all levels to create a holistic balance. The key to ULU Yoga’s success has been open communication with students to both serve their specific needs, maintain group harmony, and reflect upon feedback to develop and grow.

Are you Ulu?

We originally chose the name ULU just because it sounded nice and had no meaning in English. Like AUM, ULU is a poetic all encompassing wave vibration uniting us all. Later we learned it meant owl in Hindi, who sits still like a yogi in meditation peering through the darkness to dispel ignorance and illuminate the true nature of being though subtle intellect and energetic awareness.

ULU also means whirlwind and is slang for crazy in arabic languages, where they say “Are you ULU?”. Over time we chose to define ULU as Universal Love and Understanding. All together this summarizes perfectly ULU Yoga’s love for traditional yoga and crazy styles like aerial, which unite students by helping beginners to achieve advanced poses and fly.

Spa treatments

Free traditional Thai massage

Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the giver and receiver, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked. The receiver will be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, that is also combined with deep static and rhythmic pressures. The massage generally follows designated lines ("sen") in the body. The legs and feet of the giver can be used to position the body or limbs of the recipient. In other positions, hands fix the body, while the feet do the massaging.

Free entry to the Dome sauna

The dome has two stupa-shaped herbal steam rooms for detoxing and heavenly stress relief. The Dome is a magical sanctuary with an herbal steam sauna, atmospheric music, organic vegan soul foods and a bonfire for stargazing. The sauna interior is designed for acoustical vibrational to amplify the resonance and power of breathing and chanting. It acts as a portal to transport you back to the womb state and essence of our being. Through sweating one releases chemical toxins and negative thoughts and leaves reborn and refreshed. Then you meditate around the bonfire like in ancient tribal times gazing up at the same stars our ancestors did. It is a transcendental experience bringing you back to the natural state of human roots. You get free entry. Taxi not included.
