Compared to regular antigravity and parachute style aerial hammocks, they are slippery, painful, plus cause skin rash and bruising.
The Ulu Yoga Swing can spread open to create a stable base for sitting poses and inversions. It also folds and rolls up to make a thick pillow for the hips in forwarding bending postures. However, the course does include a regular silk hammock workshop and students may practice with them for the entire course if they prefer.
The course content is supported by teaching yoga by Mark Stephens, Hatha illustrated by Martin Kirk, Yoga Anatomy by Leslie Kaminoff, Ulu Aerial yoga by Edward Pawlak, Yoga Diary by Shashi Mahler, plus traditional text such as Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
