Ulu Yoga Thailand Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Program

Ulu Aerial yoga is a mix of yoga, acrobatics, pilates and physical therapy. Our training focuses developing teaching skills and giving students a wide variety of styles and unique workshops plus fun collaborative creative activities.


No previous yoga experience is required. Our students range from total beginners and seniors searching for pain relief and healing to advanced aerial yogis searching for something new and exciting. Ages 18-65. On one hand, aerial is easier than normal yoga because it supports one’s body weight and allows beginners to stretch more, attain correct alignment and do advanced poses. We encourage students to take it easy and rest.


a unique design made with padded cusions for greater comfort, support and precision than most hammocks, silks and belts, although we do many of the same poses like anti-gravity.


Aerial is fun and gentle way to get strong, relieve pain and heal the body. Swings support the body’s weight, enhance our range of motion and allow us to stretch deeper and work a greater range of back and core muscles. Aerial offers great therapeutic benefits. We use gravity to decompress the spine, realign the vertebrae, relieve disc and nerve pressure, which causes pain. Most importantly, it’s fun and makes people smile :)


Students receive a 50hr Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Certificate from Ulu Yoga, who is a 200hr Registered School with Yoga Alliance. Many students get jobs teaching with just this, every country and studio has their own requirements. Yoga Alliance members receive a Certificate of Continuing Education.

Lead trainer

Edward Pawlak, USA, started Yoga in 2007 and completed 200hr TTC in Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow with Samyak Yoga in India. Before yoga, Edward taught university education and worked in music theater production. In 2014 he founded ULU YOGA and now leads 50hr Aerial and 200hr Mix Yoga TTC every month around the world. Ulu also has many other wonderful instructors leading the courses.

Koh Phangan has endless yoga related activities and fun parties every night, near by and around the island. There are numerous yoga studios offering ashtanga, tantra, dance, healing, chanting, lectures. The island is also famous for crazy parties, Full Moon, Half Moon, Black Moon, Jungle Experience and more.

Edward started to practice yoga in 2007 and completed a 200-hour teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa flow. Before yoga, Edward taught university education and worked in music theater production. In 2014, he founded Ulu Yoga, now a 200-hour RYS with Yoga Alliance and developed aerial programs in Thailand at Samma Karuna Awakening and Healing Center, Orion Healing Center, Gaia Yoga Shala, Jaran's Yoga, Wonderland Healing Center, Jungle Experience, Agama Yoga, Blue Indigo Cottage in Cambodia, Ubud Yoga Center in Bali, and more.


Koh Phangan, Thailand is absolute tropical island paradise with the world’s most beautiful beaches, crystal waters, huge mountains and green jungle. It is safe and friendly. There is no traffic or pollution. Koh Phangan is famous for Full Moon Party, but that is 1 hour away from us. Our studio is located at Haad Yao beach in the north-west part of the island. It looks like heaven. There are many cool beach bars, dive centers, shops and other yoga centers in walking distance.

Bounty Resort, Haad Yao, Koh Phangan, is where the TTC is located. It is a beautiful peaceful setting with a private little beach, wi-fi, swimming pool, friendly staff and and surprisingly good restaurant. All the rooms are a little ocean view. The yoga studio is large and bright with an ocean view. This resort is on a cliff and the the beach is 30 meter walk downstairs. There are two other big beaches about 5 minutes walk.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Surat Thani International Airport (URT). You can also arrive at the Koh Samui International Airport (USM). Transfer from and to these airports is available upon request.

Arrival by ferry / boat

Upon arrival to Surat Thani International Airport (URT) or Samui International Airport (USM) you may buy a joint ticket for the bus that will take you to the Donsak pier. Then, you will take the ferry to Koh Phangan - Thongsala pier. The "Lompraya" or "Raja Ferry" are recommended. The last ferry leaves at 6 p.m. and it is suggested to arrive in Surat Thani by 4 p.m.

Arrival by taxi

From Koh Phangan - Thongsala pier, take a taxi to Bounty Resort, Haad Yao beach for about 5 USD.
