Buddhi Ayu Villas

Budhi Ayu Villas is a wonderful gorgeous quiet resort about 10 minutes walk from the yoga center. The rooms are clean and spacious with good Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, air-conditioning, fridge, tea kettle, TV, king size bed, sunny bathroom with hot shower, bathtub, large balcony with table and chairs overlooking a large pool surrounded by lush tropical greenery and neighboring rice fields.

Full Moon Villas

Fullmoon Villa is located in Lod Tunduh Village, Ubud, about 25 kilometers from the city center of Denpasar, or around 35 kilometers from Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS).

DFive Family

DFive Family is a highly rated hostel with 'sparkly clean room', shared air-conditioned dorms, Wi-Fi, great breakfast, swimming pool, hot showers, and lockers. It’s just 10 minutes walk from the yoga center and near Budhi Ayu where the other students stay.

ULU Yoga offers Aerial yoga teacher training in Bali. ULU has graduated more than 800 Aerial yoga teachers. They also offer 200-hour multi-style yoga teacher training in Thailand.

Style

ULU Restorative Aerial yoga combines the ancient wisdom of yoga, mindfulness, and modern physical therapy. The training focuses on developing teaching skills and creating a space for the exploration of the bodies. You will integrate an understanding of the nervous system, the anatomical basis of the spine and its connection to the overall health.

With yogic perception on energy and philosophy, you will create a new understanding of anxiety, depression, trauma, and the different ways to elevate yourself and others through mindfulness and somatic - body - work. You will leave with a strong toolkit to create and hold the space for innovative Aerial yoga classes designed for physical and psychological restoration and the activation of self-healing.

Level

No previous yoga experience is required. You will dive into body awareness and self-exploration, so you will need your body and curiosity. This restorative yoga course with therapeutic intentions invites all characters and age groups. This week is especially designed to reconnect to the bodies ability of self-healing, ULU encourages to support this process with taking rests and respecting the given individual boundaries.

Swings

ULU Aerial Yoga uses its own Aerial swing. Their swings are a superior unique design made with yoga mat inserts for precision fit and comfort. It has incredible possibilities and advantages compared to antigravity silks and hammocks or belts when it comes to therapeutic applications. It is soft and supportive for inversions, easily rolled up to a strong cushion and charming the body own form without straining the skin. The fabric is a perfect blend of softness and grip for long-held poses in a fix position with ease and stability.

Benefits

Aerial yoga is a fun and gentle way to relieve pain and heal the body. Swings support the body’s weight for perfect relaxation, enhance your range of motion and allow you to stretch deeper and to reach a greater range of tissues in your body. Aerial offers great therapeutic benefits.

You will use gravity to decompress the spine, realign the vertebrae, relieve disc and nerve pressure, which causes pain. You will prop your body in the most comfortable way to relax into long-held restorative poses.

Certificate

Registered Yoga Alliance members can register this online as additional training hours (50 hours).

Included excursions

One day you will do Aerial outside and take beautiful pictures in nature. You may also visit the nearby monkey forest and water temple if enough people wish to join. Also nearby is Canggu Beach, which makes for a perfect beach trip and is cheap if everyone shares a taxi fare.

This training takes place in the vibrant yoga mecca of Ubud, a vibrant place full of Balinese culture, boutique shopping, and healthy cuisine. Ubud Yoga Center is a contemporary two-tiered complex building created by one of Balinese’s most prominent international award-winning architect. The shala has a breathtaking shala with glass walls overlooking a lush green jungle river. Bali, of course, is a top world destination for yoga, wellness, culture, and nature.

Food

Packages with accommodation include a wholesome breakfast at your resort with locally sourced vegetables, whole grain bread, homemade muesli, free range eggs, exotic tropical fruits, world famous Bali coffee and herbal tea plus more. Ubud Yoga Center has a beautiful outdoor yogic cafe with an incredible variety of healthy breakfast and lunch options. The recipes include simple, nutrient-dense whole foods.

Seasonal fruits and plant-based food make up a majority of the plates, but they also offer lean proteins for those who crave for a juicy burger or a grilled chicken on a big bed of raw mixed salads. For dinner, Ubud has many world famous restaurants to suit all preferences.

Ubud

Ubud is regarded as the cultural center of Bali. It is famous as an arts and crafts hub, and much of the town and nearby villages seems to consist of artists' workshops and galleries. There are some remarkable architectural and other sights to be found, and a general feeling of well being to be enjoyed, all thanks to the spirit, surroundings, and climate of the place. A big variety of different yoga styles can be practiced here with popular teachers from all over the world in a multitude of different yoga studios and retreat centers.

Bali spirit festival

This festival takes place from March 29 until April 3, and is one of the world's most inspiring celebrations of global community, world music, and wellbeing! It summons yoga enthusiasts, dancers, musicians and spirituality seekers from all corners of the globe, joining together to inspire one another and nourish each individual's potential within. ULU Yoga can arrange group discounts for everybody who would like to join.

Arts and culture

The town and area has a number of art museums, such as the Blanco Renaissance Museum, the Puri Lukisan Museum, Neka Art Museum, and the Agung Rai Museum of Art. Nearby is the Museum Rudana in Peliatan. The Tek Tok is a traditional Balinese dance that is accompanied by musical sound of mouth 'Tek Tok' altogether with various combinations of body movement and other sounds. Many performances of traditional Balinese dance are happening all around Ubud.

Nature

The Ubud Monkey Forest is a sacred nature reserve located near the southern end of Jalan Monkey Forest. It houses the temple of death, and approximately 340 crab-eating macaque (Macaca fascicularis) monkeys live there.

The Campuhan ridge walk is a hill from where one can see two rivers, Tukad Yeh Wos Kiwa and Tukad Yeh Wos Tengen, merge. There is one-meter wide of paving block track about two kilometers to the top of the hill.

Surfing

Kuta and Seminyak Beach are Bali's most famous surfing hot spots stretching for about three kilometers on the south coast of Bali. Blessed by great waves, it has become a famous tourist attraction with a big choice of hotels, bars, restaurants, night club, souvenir shops, shopping centers, entertainments, etc. The beauty of this beach is complemented by the spectacular sunrise that creates the romantic nuance.

Diving

Bali is Indonesia's most popular dive holiday destination. Many visitors find the attraction of good shore-based resort diving set against a stunning backdrop of huge, magnificent volcanoes and picturesque rice paddy terraces, simply irresistible.

The Gili Islands

Gili Islands are a great destination if you are looking for a remote island experience with excellent snorkeling and diving possibilities. Each island has several small resorts, usually consisting of a collection of huts for tourists, a small pool and restaurant. Automobiles and motorized traffic are prohibited on the islands by local ordinance, so the preferred method of transportation is by foot and bicycle or the horse-drawn carriage called a cidomo.

Diving in and around the Gilis is also popular due to the abundance of marine life and attractive coral formations. From Ubud, take a transport to Padang Bai (e.g. Perama bus or taxi) - about an hour's drive. There you can catch all sorts of fast boats to the Gili Islands (1.5 hours on the boat).

Recommended Airports

Arrival by taxi

From Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), just take a taxi on arrival to your accommodation in Ubud. It costs about 20 USD and takes about 30 minutes. It's easy to book yourself, but if you prefer, your resort can help arrange one for you.
