Vala House is a creative wellness center on the outskirts of Knysna. A beautiful garden provides the ideal backdrop for a relaxing getaway filled with yoga and a variety of creative and healing activities. Daily yoga runs three times a day, every day, and is held on a “pay what you can” basis. Booking is essential.

The retreats and training are centered on yoga and wellness bringing in elements of creativity, such as cooking lessons, poetry, art, music, dance, and much more. The location features the beautiful Knysna forest, the pristine beaches, the Outeniqua mountains, and the jewel of the Garden Route. The place has a spectacular view. It is set in beautiful farmlands on the edge of the Knysna forest, 20 minutes from pristine beaches and all the splendor that the Garden Route offers. Knysna is the heart of the Garden Route and is the perfect base for exploring this magical area.

This centre in Rheenendal is the ideal place for an immersive natural experience. The gorgeous expansive lawn is ideal for outdoor practice and between classes you will venture inti the Knysna forest, canoe on the local rivers, explore nearby beaches and perhaps even take to the sky paragliding.
