Vedansha Institute of Vedic Science and Alternative Medicine offers accommodation in the Vedansha retreat center and Vedansha retreat hotel. If you would like to stay for your training or spiritual activity in the institute, the Vedansha Institute of Vedic Science and Alternative Medicine could offer to you their accommodation in Vedansha Retreat Center.

All rooms have a fan and a private bathroom. Vedansha Retreat Center is located directly on the lap on the Himalaya mountain and offers you a beautiful view of the mountains. They also have a special Ayurvedic garden where you can relax or do your yogic practice. For the summer season, you may opt for an air-conditioned room, offered upon availability and in hot season extra charges can come for that.

There's car parkings and restaurants. The Vedansha Namaste Restaurant is recognized as one of the best in Rishikesh and offers Indian, Ayurvedic, yogic, and international meals. They have a special wooden make oven to prepare delicious Italian pizza and a diverse Indian menu.

Please note that sometimes the power goes off in the whole Rishikesh city area. During these moments, you will have light in your rooms because of a special electricity generator, but the internet may stop working for a while. In such cases, you should not worry, as it usually comes back in a few minutes. Vedansha Institute offers the following facilities:

Since 1 January 2019 Vedansha is happy to offer our clients absolutely great accommodation conditions at a suitable price. In the Tapovan area of Rishikesh, far from noisy streets and crowds in a newly built building, Vedansha offers single, shared twin, shared double, family suite, and comfortable dormitory accommodation. This type of accommodation will help you to relax and concentrate on your priorities of training.

There are 12 rooms have air condition, four non air-conditioner room. Most of the rooms have a wonderful view of the Himalayan mountains. Every room has a big private bathroom. The single, twin, and double room size are 15 meters square/161 feet square. The dormitory room size is 28 meters square/301 feet square. The family suite is 28 meters square/301 feet square.

All the food that you get during the course is fresh cooked. Vedansha takes care of its meal quality. If you eat outside sometimes you can have problems with stomach. Remember that better to ask about fewer amounts of spices for your meal preparation in the restaurants if you have a sensitive stomach or any stomach problems. Vedansha provides pure drink filter water.

Vedansha is catering only to vegetarian and vegan meals. In Rishikesh non-vegetarian meal is not provided. Vedansha can fulfill all dietary requirements from a gluten-free meal until a special menu for diabetes, obesity, kidney failure, cancer, etc. Here, you can find standard dishes that Vedansha offer for a week. Each meal time included three to five different dishes:

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). From there, you can book a domestic flight to arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Arrival by taxi (most popular among foreigner clients)

Vedansha can arrange the best and professional taxi driver for you 24 hours a day. Vedansha works only with professional staff and has its own drivers. They never work with drivers whom they don’t know. Vedansha taxi service is absolutely female-friendly and secure. You don't have to pay anything to the driver (except if you wish to give tips). All payments for a taxi will be done in Rishikesh.

The price is 70 USD from Delhi airport and 85 USD from Delhi Hotel. It is 25 USD from Dehradun airport. Please note that from Dehradun airport there is no bus service or other transport, Vedansha would recommend you reserve transfer in advance. From Delhi, it takes six to eight hours of traveling time according to traffic, on average its seven hours. At night, travel time is five hours. From Dehradun to Vedansha place in Rishikesh is only 45 minutes away.

Arrival by bus

From Delhi ISBT (Kashmere Gate, New Delhi), you can reach Rishikesh within some hours on a comfortable bus. You can take a taxi or metro to the Delhi ISTB. The bus will reach in Rishikesh (Rishikesh Bus station). From there, you can take a three-wheeler (tuk-tuk) for around 150 to 200 INR. If you are alone in a car towards Tapovan the price is around 700 INR and the duration is eight to nine hours.
