Overview

This yoga teacher training course in Kerala assumes a holistic approach towards the trainees. You will learn all the basic principles of yoga including different postures, mudras, works, breathing control and exercises, and the century-old links with principles of Ayurveda. Discipline rules for students

  • Please always be on time. If you are running 15 minutes late according to the class time, you will not be permitted to join the class.
  • Please always make discipline, respect teachers, and follow all rules.
  • Deposit is not refundable but one can join for other class.
  • Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school
  • The class size is 15 students.

Etiquette

  • Absolutely no selfies during class. Please turn off your cell phone or at least put it on silent before the first OM.
  • Clean up your space at the end of class. Pick up your props and mats and put in the designated areas as instructed by the teacher if not obvious.
  • If exiting early, please do so just before Savasana, not during. Figure out the best way to leave your space silently, if you have no other option.
  • Leave your mat and props where they are and quietly leave with respect to the group.
  • Observe silence during class and especially during Savasana where you integrate all you have absorbed during class.
  • Practice patience and kindness at the registration desk and have respect for the World Peace Yoga School staff.
  • Respect the teacher and your neighbors. Please practice as instructed by the teacher and do not practice your own series during class.

About the course

  • In case of emergency, you may skip the class but you'll have to inform the teacher from the class about it.
  • In order to attend the orientation program, you should arrive at least a day before starting of the course. On the first day at 10:00 AM, the course will start with yoga ritual. On the last day of the course, a graduation ceremony takes place and it finishes by 11:30 AM, therefore, the departure should be planned one day after completion of the course.
  • Pregnant women are not advised to join because the course is too intense for pregnant women to complete.
  • There are few books that you'll have to read during your course. It is your choice to start before your arrival or once you are at school.
  • The teachers are qualified yogis, some are with master degrees of yoga sciences, and some are with MA degrees.
  • You'll have some breaks during your daily schedule and Sundays are free days as there will be no classes, so you'll have time to discover.
