Certifications

Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®). With successful completion of the training, students will receive:

  • An Ayurvedic lifestyle coach diploma issued by Bharat Sevak Samaj (Development Agency Promoted by the Government of India)
  • A 200-hrs Yoga Alliance-affiliated Yoga Teacher Training Certificate from The Body-Mind-Soul Centre (RYS 300 – registered school with Yoga Alliance).
  • A Yin Yoga Therapy™ practitioner diploma: ‘Yin Yoga & Ayurveda’, which can be a building block for Yin Yoga Therapy Teacher Training's 700 hours of Yin Yoga Therapy™ education.

How the training works

The focus is on a three-week immersion in Goa, complemented by an independent 40-hour self-paced online training. You can start the online training anytime after the competition of registration and you will have one year time to go through the material at your own pace. Your teachers are always available for active support throughout this process.

During the immersion, weekdays are study immersion, and your weekends are free to explore the area or to dedicate yourself to the online content. The mornings start with a nature meditation followed by some movement with guided more active yoga classes for the balance.

After breakfast, there are theory and methodology classes till lunch, followed by a longer midday break. The late afternoons are dedicated to the Yin yoga practice and a sunset circle to complete the day.

To complete a solid foundation for your yoga teacher 200-hour certification and a deep understanding of yoga in all its variations, Yin Yoga Therapy Teacher Training offers you an additional 40-hour self-paced online video course. Of these 40 hours, 20 hours are dedicated to anatomy and physiology, and 20 hours will focus on general yoga humanities.

Both these video courses you can start anytime after the complete sign-up and you will have one year time to go through the material at your own pace. The team is always available for active support throughout this process.

Since online training is self-paced and can be completed for up to one year, after the in-person portion, you will receive with a successful examination your diploma as an Ayurvedic lifestyle coach and your Yin Yoga Therapy™ teacher certificate right away, and once you have completed all (in-person and online), you will recieve your 200-hour Yoga Alliance certificate.

40-hour self-paced online course

The anatomy 20-hour online course will look into the anatomy of the muscular and skeletal body, as well as the human physiology like the nervous system, incl. ‘fight, flight, freeze’ stress response, vagal theory, overall mind-body connection, cardiovascular or circulatory, endocrine, digestive systems, and the respiratory system as they relate to yoga practice. In the yoga humanities 20-hour part, you share details about general yoga history, philosophy, and foundations like the eight limbs and Patanjali’s yoga sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. You will get to know about the Chakras, Koshas, Prana Vaayus, Kleshas, and more.

By the end of this journey, you will not only be certified in two of the world’s most powerful healing modalities - Ayurveda and Yin yoga - but will also have the tools and practical experience to share these practices with others.

A kaleidoscopic blend of Indian and Portuguese cultures, sweetened with sun, sea, sand, susegad, and spirituality, Goa is India’s pocket-sized paradise. Located on the west coast of India, you can have the sight of high Sahyadri ranges on one side and on another side the picturesque view of the Arabian Sea.

Goa is known for its pictorial beauty, striking beaches, beautiful temples and churches, grand festival celebrations, and colorful Hindu and Catholic heritage. Goa has become a well-visited winter getaway where yoga is celebrated and spiritual activities are on a daily schedule: sunrise yoga sessions on the beach, reiki healing courses, meditation, and just about every other form of spiritual exploration, are all practiced freely.

Online training

This teacher training is held online. Yin Yoga Therapy Teacher Training is located in Mandrem, Goa, India (GMT+5:30), and they will provide yoga classes via Thinkific which you can participate from the comfort of your home within a week minimum and up to one year after registration.
