Join this yoga teacher training and learn to teach yoga online, so you can teach yoga and mindfulness to others, both online and in-person! Yoga teachers who can teach yoga, mindfulness, and meditation are even more important than ever given the current national emergency. This online, interactive yet self-paced yoga teacher training certification training will fully equip you to teach yoga and mindfulness in studios, schools, businesses, and online.
You don’t need to have an advanced yoga practice to register for this program. You can start right where you are. There are no pre-requisites for this training. This training is ideal for:
For some, the idea of completing advanced yoga teacher training has long been a dream. Perhaps you haven’t yet had time to take a month away from the busyness of your life, or haven’t been able to commit many weekends and evenings to complete your training in-person.
If you have taken a yoga teacher training from another school and are a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, you are welcome to join Yoga Farm Ithaca as a refresher (and for CEU credits) for a tuition of 799 USD (you will be required to submit a signed copy your certificate with proof of completion from your lead trainer in your yoga teacher training).
Facebook is essential for this training - if you don't normally use Facebook please create an account, use an alias last name if you want to, just for this training. You can bookmark our group and ignore the rest of Facebook, and delete your account afterward if you want to.
This 200-hour yoga teacher training will start on January 27, 2021. Yoga Farm Ithaca offers you flexible pacing - they will be delivering the course curriculum in 12 weeks. The course ends April 21, and your own study and practice can continue after that.
This online training is an active, live taught classroom, and office hours that will create an uplifting and interactive course with lots of personal connection and interaction. Teaching will be conducted via live sessions on Zoom and through video teachings and lessons in Yoga Farm Ithaca online Google Classroom.
This is not a ‘work by yourself’ training. Instead, this is a highly interactive training with live classrooms as well as self-paced components. It's totally fine if you aren't complete with your self-study (non-contact hours) components by the end of the live classrooms (you have up to 1 year to complete your testing and evaluation).
The live classroom training starts the second week and will be held:
Live yoga classes are taught every day of the week - Yoga Farm Ithaca highly recommend these weekly classes, which are specifically for you
Yoga Farm Ithaca recommend you participate live as much possible, as this is their main area for live teaching, and watch the replay each week if the times don't work for you. Yoga Farm Ithaca also will hold many weekly "office hours", on zoom, where your specific questions can be discussed in a smaller group with your teachers. Office hours for connection and Q&A will be finalized when you start, these are Yoga Farm Ithaca fall office hours (subject to change, likely to be very similar). Yoga Farm Ithaca highly recommend coming to some of these during your program.
"Cue rehearsal" are small groups practicing reading the pose cues to each other. Please attend at least one of these each week once they start, in the third week of the program. Times will be announced later.
During the course, you will immerse into, and learn to teach, Vinyasa yoga, Hatha yoga, and mindfulness. You will learn to teach confidently in front of a room full of people, and also in front of a single camera. With skyrocketing anxiety and stress throughout the world, the need for skilled, competent, sensitive yoga teachers in every community is even more essential than ever before, and yoga teachers, who can teach yoga, mindfulness and meditation over online technologies, are even more important than before our current national emergency.
In February and March of 2020, thousands of yoga teachers attempted to learn how to teach yoga online. They found themselves woefully underprepared, the technology can be confusing, and not being in the same room as their students left many without the confidence to teach well. Yoga Farm Ithaca program will teach you how to teach yoga online and in-person. You'll be prepared for all scenarios.
