This training mainly consists of the traditional Hatha yoga, Patanjali's philosophy and eight elements of yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga styles. The special highly intensive yoga teacher training program is dedicated to many students who desire to step into the path of yoga and meditation that but are still caught up in the midst of the modern lifestyle that allows only so much time one can take off from the fast-moving life. The teachers have been brought up and spent their lives in traditional ashrams and gurukulams with yoga and meditation as their sole purpose in life. In this special occasion, they are traveling to Thailand with a pure intention of transmitting authentic knowledge of yoga and meditation from the ancient Vedic scriptures. The mission is to spread peace, health, and joy, which can be achieved through yoga. All walks of life are welcome to learn how yoga leads an individual to a healthy body and lifestyle!
You will be accommodated for 27 nights at Maewin Guesthouse & Resort. The accommodation for the training is a traditional Thai-style wooden bungalow houses. The dorm room is arranged for 3-4 people with one bathroom in each room. The guesthouse facilities are also available to our students (i.e. dining area, common resting area, cleaning service, etc.). However, students can also opt for a private room at extra charges.
This teacher training is a multi-style course for intermediate and advanced-level students, with more than just basic knowledge of yoga. After the completion of the course, the students will be given a yoga alliance certification for the 300-hour yoga training course, from Yoga Vidya Mandiram School. This 300-hour yoga teacher training will be held by experienced reputed meditation guides and the team of accomplished yoga teachers.
The teachers and guides include an Ayurvedic doctor who feels privileged to share his/her knowledge and practice of ancient traditions with modern elements of medical sciences (yoga anatomy and physiology).
This training course aims to provide a solid foundation in different aspects of yogic disciplines that prepare them to adopt yoga as their life profession. In addition, this 300-hour yoga training course includes mantra recitation (mantra - Japa), daily joints and glands practices (granthi - vimochana - kriya), yoga postures (yoga asanas), meditative steps of doing asanas, six cleansing exercises (shat karma), science of breath (pranayama), yoga energy locks (Bandha) and yoga gestures (Mudra), meditation (Dhyana), yogic sleep (yoga Nidra), history and philosophy of yoga (yoga Darshana), yogic anatomy and physiology of human body, basic principles of Ayurveda, asana alignment practicum classes, yoga teaching practice, and teaching methodology. Yoga psychology enhances the students' learning at various levels; mentally and emotionally by which they learn to adopt the yogic disciplines in daily life. This intensive course helps the students to establish a harmonious lifestyle.

During the classes, mobile phones, cameras, and recording equipment are strictly forbidden.
Trainees who are pregnant, or fall pregnant during a teacher training course are not permitted to partake in or continue on the training. No refund will be given under these circumstances. For this reason, if you suspect you may be pregnant it is highly recommended you visit a doctor for a pregnancy test before enrolling for the training. By partaking in training, workshops, retreats or classes, trainees retain control and direction over all their physical activities and voluntarily assume full liability and accept the risk of harm, including physical injury and discomfort as a result of my participation in activities during the program. Yoga Vidya Mandiram yoga school accepts no liability for any injury or illnesses that occur to trainees during the training, workshops, retreats or classes. The nature of yoga teacher training, retreats, workshops, and classes includes a certain level of interpersonal physical contact. By participating in this yoga events trainees voluntarily agree to this contract and understand its professional nature.
Students have to present in the whole of the scheduled program in order to successfully get a registered yoga school (RYS) certification from the Yoga Vidya Mandriam yoga school. The yoga school may contact graduates in the future about upcoming events and opportunities. This will require the use of trainee contact details. If trainees are uncomfortable with this please make this explicitly known to the staff via email. Alcohol, tobacco, smoking and other drugs are not allowed during the course. Unnecessary food like non-vegetarian are not allowed during the course, the food in the yoga school is purely vegetarian, to experience a holistic and Ayurvedic lifestyle. Please don’t bring any outside food to eat.

Yoga Vidya Mandiram School has rented out 90% of the resort during the training. There will be guests from tour groups, not attending the training, who take their usual non-vegetarian diet and an occasional beer. Yoga Vidya Mandiram does not impose discipline on them as they are not their students. They are also do not force the resort to omit these options from the menu. However, they expect their students to follow school rules and discipline while staying at the premises.
You should remember that School holds the right to ask a student to leave the training without certification if he or she does not follow or violates the school discipline.

Acharya Chandramani was born in a traditional spiritual family. When he was 8 years old, he became a serious practitioner of the yogic principles of Swetambara Jaina tradition. Later, he was initiated into the Vedic Sanskrit tradition by Swami Vivekananda at the age of 10 in Prabhat Ashram, UP, India. He was fully dedicated to the teachings and daily discipline of the traditional Sanskrit gurukulam from childhood to adulthood. He has been guiding worldwide yoga students into the Vedic Sanskrit literature and its philosophy and holding yoga retreats and teacher trainings for over 25 years.
Subhash Petwal is an asana yoga instructor who is experienced teaching internationally and locally in the styles of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and Hatha yoga. He has undergone his training in Mysore and Kaivalyadhama Lonavala and has been undergoing continuous practices for several extended years at Kishore Yoga Kendra Bangalore. Subhash is passionate about sharing his knowledge of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga and takes great care in layout a strong foundation for his students to further their practices.
Piyush Saxena has been a sadhaka of the Himalayan Yoga Tradition as taught by Swami Rama and Swami Veda Bharati for several years. He has a great passion for the philosophy and practices of yoga Nidra and meditation, as well as practice Hatha yoga as a meditative process to support his meditation practices. Piyush wants to inspire people and teach yogic practices that can help them in their daily life, business life, student life, family life, corporate life, and more importantly guide them to become an enlightened human being.
Praful specializes in anatomy, pranayama, meditation, and sound healing with a focus on yoga therapy. He studies the power of rehabilitation of Hatha yoga and pranayama on health and uses scientific application of yoga to create physical and mental awareness in preparation for asana practice and meditation. Praful is passionate about guiding students to overcome physical injury, pain, mental stress, and emotional trauma through yogic techniques. He also specializes using ancient Himalayan singing bowls as vibrational medicine to remove energy blockages and stimulate the restoration of health.

During this yoga training, you will be served a healthy vegetarian (no eggs) breakfast, lunch and dinner along with seasonal tropical fruits. The food is carefully prepared with organic vegetables and ingredients.
Filtered water and herbal tea are also available. The menu is creative and balanced with proteins so you feel full and satisfied. If you are planning to have fast on any day, please inform us to help us avoid food waste.
No consumption of non-vegetarian (i.e. meat, poultry, eggs, etc.), including eggs (Yoga Vidya Mandiram follow Indian vegetarian rules), within accommodation or school/resort premise. They realize that not everyone interested in the course is pure vegetarian. However, by signing up and booking for this course, you have agreed to their disciplines and diet requirements. Students are responsible for bringing dietary supplements that they required during the duration of the course. If you really need non-vegetarian from time to time, you may discreetly plan for your meals outside the school. Please do not request Yoga Vidya Mandiram staff to prepare non-vegetarian meals, including eggs.

Chiang Mai International Airport

You could opt for a direct flight to Chiangmai International Airport (CNX). If there are no direct flights from your city, there are certainly connections you could make from your city to Chiangmai.
If you are travelling from within Thailand, you could take the train from the city you are into Chiangmai province. From Bangkok, the journey takes about 12 hours but evening trains feature comfortable bunks with or without air-con. Train tickets from Bangkok are between 600-1,000 THB for a train ticket depending on the level of comfort you want.
Buses run roughly every hour from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, departing from Bangkok’s Mo Chit Station and arriving at Chiang Mai’s Eastern (main) Bus Terminal. The first departure of the day is at 05:30 and the last is at 22:00. From Bangkok, the journey takes about 10 hours and there are a variety of buses available, with the VIP buses being the by far the most comfortable. Bus prices range from 12 USD to 25 USD per trip from Bangkok to Chiangmai.
Maewin Guesthouse & Resort is 38 kilometers in the southern direction from Chiangmai city and 36 kilometers from Chiangmai International Airport (CNX). The bus for Mae Wang district leaves from the corner of Wualay Rd. and Chang Lor Rd., opposite the Chiangmai Gate (1 of the 4 city gates) on the south side of the moat that surrounds the old city. Look for a bus that goes to บ้านกาด (Baan Kaad), it’s a yellow pick up truck with seats at the back and a sign on the roof, the route stops in Mae Wang. Sit to the end of the line which is 5km passed Baan Kaad fresh market. The ride will cost only 35 baht per passenger. From there, you have to pay extra fee of around 250-300 baht to reach the guesthouse.
Yoga Vidya Mandiram is happy to assist you in arranging a taxi pick up once you arrive in Chiangmai. The taxi fee and travel time will depend on your pick up location and traffic. It is an average of 1.20 hours from Chiangmai International Airport (CNX) to the guesthouse by taxi and costing around 1,000 baht per trip.
