This Yoga Alliance 200-hour certified teacher training course (TTC) takes place in a tranquil serene setting just outside Rishikesh town, the worldly renowned yoga central, Northern India. The best way to learn how to teach yoga is to immerse yourself completely in a yogic lifestyle and practice so that your teaching comes from your own personal experience. During the yoga teacher training, the spectacular domed Meditation Hall provides the perfect setting to center and re-connect within yourself. Includes two daily asana classes, two hours each, surya namaskar (sun salutations), thorough explanation and demonstration, individual adjustments and various techniques (props, walls etc.) on how to improve and deepen your practice.
Meditation takes time and dedication to develop a strong practice, but here you will be given the tools to initiate and deepen your ability with two daily guided meditation classes including pranayama.
The teachers offer an easy and comprehensive approach, allowing you to gain a greater understanding of yoga, hence helping you to lead a greater emotional and mental well-being in order to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Explanations are based on real examples from the life, which makes the philosophy an interesting an easy to experience. The whole course is skillfully designed to experience these yoga philosophies (analysis of both the text and commentary of Bhadavad Gita, which is a classical yoga scripture, detailed explanation of the Patanjali Yoga Sutra, different paths of yoga, 8 limbs of yoga, nadis, mantra, prana, bandha, koshas, kundalini, mudra, chakras and granthis.
Students are introduced to anatomy and physiology which are important to be an effective teacher and practitioner. You will enhance your knowledge on the following:
Shat kriyas are yogic purification processes which include: cleansing of the nasal and air passages, esophagus and stomach. Students will be guided through various purification exercises with thorough explanation of the effects. These processes will allow the student to experience deeper meditation and pranayama practices (Kapalbhati, Jala Neti, Sutra Neti, Kunjal Kriya, Tratak).
The experienced teachers will provide instruction on the art of yoga instruction including: how to be an effective yoga teacher, hands on adjustments, observe and understand how the body moves, art of the voice, confidence through practice teaching, purpose and use of props, both in personal practice and the class setting, and practical teaching classes.
An Ayurvedic practitioner will join the course to discuss how a proper diet can enhance your yoga practice and life as a whole. This introduction will give you time to practice a 30-day diet plan, guided by experienced chefs, throughout the course. The following will be covered: origin of Ayurveda, how Ayurveda treats different diseases and complaints, the different types of doshas, how diet affects the mind and the body, vegetarianism, the healing effects of fasting.

This teacher training will take place in Rishikesh, an Indian city surrounded by the mountains, at the foothills of the Himalayas, along the holy banks of Ganges river. Rishikesh is in close proximity of Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport (DED), which is a small, quiet and recently renovated airport, located15 kilometers away. This city is known as the world capital of yoga. It has the biggest number of yoga ashrams and yoga courses in the world, and serious students wanting to learn yoga and Ayurveda, assist there from across the globe.
With lodging facility, at Yogvini Rishikesh Ashram, you will be offered nutritious and hygienic meals. The food in the ashram is specially prepared with the use of green vegetables. Only vegetarian food is served in fully Indian and ashram life tradition.

From Delhi, Rishikesh is about 230 kilometers away and its well connected with buses. A bus journey may take from 5 to 7 hours - depending on the traffic - and it costs about 330 to 730 INR. Taxi can also be arranged at a price of approximately 100 USD.
The nearest railway station is Haridwar located at distance of 25 kilometers from Rishikesh.
