YogaFX International Yoga Teacher Training Academy is located close to Seminyak Bali. Seminyak is a mixed tourist residential area on the west coast of Bali in Indonesia, just north of Kuta and Legian, and only 20 minutes from Bali International Airport. This is now another suburb of Kuta. This area is very popular with resident expatriates and yoga is becoming increasingly popular in this very fashionable district. Plenty of spas and hotels abound. Owing to its high density of high-end shopping, combined with the clustering of many fine eating establishments.
In addition to a few commercial strips with popular and lively restaurants, bars, villas, and good crafts/furniture shops, there are a few notable establishments: Ku Dé Ta, which is a bar/restaurant with a cult following based on its beachside/semi-resort atmosphere that has earned it the title of number one party spot in various magazines, and Oberoi, which is an expensive hotel with a worldwide reputation. Jalan Raya Seminyak (more often referred to as Jalan Legian), runs parallel with the beach, bisecting the district, and acts as its main road artery complete with many shopping and dining experiences. All of these locations are within a 15-20 minute maximum from YogaFX Teacher Training Academy and a short 2-minute bike ride to Ku De Ta and other popular locations dotted along the beach.
Seminyak today is Bali’s up-and-coming fashion, dining, and accommodation precinct, an upmarket coastal enclave just north of Legian and Kuta. Situated some 10 km from Denpasar, the capital city of Bali, Seminyak stretches from Double Six Street in the south and morphs into the villages of Kerobokan and Umalas, north of Pura Petitenget temple.
The atmosphere here is much more sophisticated and laid-back compared to Kuta, while the beach, in particular, is relatively quieter during the day and the perfect spot for practicing yoga teacher training. Fabulous Seminyak is the center of life for hordes of the island’s ex-pats, many of whom own boutiques, design clothes, surf, or do seemingly nothing at all.
It is very important to eat the food that you like. When you join YogaFX's teacher training course here in Bali you will be treated as adults, and the goal is to keep your yoga environment as close to a real-life scenario as possible. One of the most difficult transitions a new yoga teacher will go through is the first week of their yoga teacher training, new faces, new environments, new routines, many more yoga practices than you are used to, and a lot of new information to take in.
YogaFX sees no point in providing you with three meals a day of the food that their accommodation provider might be comfortable in preparing, but that you don’t like. The majority of student complaints during a yoga teacher training course is always about the food, the lack of variety. You cannot keep healthy and strong eating the same three choices of food every day, the same menu option each day: rice, lentils, vegetables, and potatoes. Many courses in India provide no dairy or fish, meat, chicken. The only protein source is through beans and peas. Also, RYS’s that provide full catering are being charged by the venue for catering. This cost is added to your course price.
The YogaFX approach is different. The YogaFX founder lives in Bali and has been for a number of years. It is because of his relationship and respect for the Balinese people and its culture, that he has been able to negotiate great accommodation and food packages. These benefits are passed on to the students in-full, by way of a huge reduction in overall RYT 200 Yoga course price packages. YogaFX have also removed the other areas of a yoga-course-supply-chain where the RYS’s can possibly receive kick back commissions. This will result in you having more control over where you spend your money.
All of these savings combined result in you having a complete accommodation and RYT 200 inclusive package, well below what the other RYS’s are charging just for their course alone. YogaFX International Yoga Teaching Academy is therefore able to provide you with the world’s greatest all-inclusive RYT 200 hours price. But of course, their student numbers are limited.
This is directly the cost-saving approach that YogaFX takes to your food options. You need a healthy balanced diet and to eat the food that you love during daily intensive physical activity. YogaFX believes that in order for you to completely immerse yourself and experience the many benefits during your time with them in Bali, it is important that you eat well, sleep well, feel well. Together these three elements translate in to you practicing yoga very well and having the most amazing time during your Bali 200 Hours RYT yoga course. There is nothing worse than not enjoying the provided food menu options and being in an isolated location.
It would be impossible for them to provide you with food options to suit every palate. YogaFX thought what if their students could eat the food that they prefer, choose their own food menu options, go directly to the source and benefit from the cost savings? It makes sense! It would mean that they can keep your total course costs down.
What if you have the freedom to set your own daily food budget and not have YogaFX charge you for a one-size-fits-all food menu policy? What if you had a selection of local restaurants with complete food options available? Menus ranging from Japanese, Chinese, Mediterranean, Balinese, Western, vegetarian, vegan and all other food options all within walking distance of you room and offering a 20% food menu discount for all YogaFX students. Yes, that’s right, they have negotiated and confirmed that all YogaFX students will receive a full 20% food menu discount off the menu choices from their local restaurants. These local restaurants have been carefully selected for their menu options, variety, cleanliness, ambience, menu flexibility, hospitality and service of staff. In short, YogaFX has road tested each one of these restaurants before hand, to ensure that they are of the highest standard when it comes to YogaFX recommendation. All you will need is your YogaFX Academy ID card.
It is for their students that YogaFX would like to get benefit from the increased menu flexibility and to benefit in full, any cost saving. The idea here is not for you to go off and eat pizza and pasta every day. That would be nuts. But with the help of the YogaFX Food Guidance Program, it will be very straightforward for you to lose any excess body fat (should you want to) and build strong toned lean muscle as a consequence of your daily physical yoga sessions.
At the end of the day and after a 20-day yoga program, you might love to witness some mind-body-spirit transformations of your own.
During your 20-day YogaFX Bali Yoga Teacher Training you will learn good new habits including food choices. You will have the confidence to return home and continue these new habits and maintain a healthy mind-body spirit lifestyle.
If you haven’t surfed before or are just looking for some gentle waves then you have to come to the most famous beach in Bali which is Kuta Beach. The beach sits across from a sandbar which means it has rolling surf that is free of any sharp reefs and you can rent a board here and sign up for a surf lesson, or rent a bodyboard if you want to try something a little less strenuous. Locals and visitors alike come here to watch the sunset and you can relax on the sand with a cold beer and drink in the atmosphere.
Ulun Danu Temple lies at the edge of Baratan Lake in Bedugul in Bali. This pretty building is dedicated to the goddess of the lake and is one of the quietest and most serene places on the island. Make sure to check out all the different shrines, each one dedicated to a different god, and look out for the ornate architectural touches such as the intricately carved gates.
If you want an adrenaline-packed afternoon then make your way to Bali Treetop Adventure Park where you will find a range of rides surrounded by lush forests. The park is great for families as well as groups or couples and has rides for children as young as 4 years old. There is a range of different circuits that are located high up in the trees and there are nets, swings, and flying foxes galore that let you fly through the air and take in the breathtaking views over the forest canopy.
Bebek Bengil means the ‘Dirty Duck’ in Indonesian and is one of the best-loved restaurants in Ubud. The restaurant backs onto a pretty rice field and the main specialty here is the duck which comes in a variety of different dishes.
The signature style here is the Bebek Betutu which is boiled in a broth made with aromatic herbs and then rubbed with local spices. The duck is then fried until it is crispy and the skin is blistered and then served with some simple rice and vegetables.
Padang Bai is situated in the east of Bali and is most famous for its diving. There are seven different dive sites that can easily be reached after a short boat trip from the shore and whatever your diving experience there is something for everyone here.
You can get PADI certified and if you like muck diving then this is one of the best places to do it in Bali and you will find a range of underwater critters like the blue-ringed octopus and pygmy seahorses. There is also a good chance of seeing sharks, turtles, and waving fans and coral gardens.
Ubud is widely known as the cultural heartland of Bali so if you like art then this is the place to come. Ubud sits amongst gorgeous rolling rice paddies and if filled with art galleries like Neka Art Museum which gives you a glimpse of the evolution of art in Bali. You can also find galleries dedicated to jewelry, ceramics, and sculpture and you can buy arts and crafts souvenirs all over Ubud.
If you are looking for a quieter corner of Bali undisturbed by the crowds of tourists who flock here then Amed is a great choice. This part of the island is still relatively off the radar and is not exactly a town, but rather a collection of villages strung together next to the sea. The reason many people come here is for snorkeling and diving as the visibility is excellent and you can dive relatively cheap compared to other parts of Bali.
Bali is famous for its dances and one of these is the Kecak dance which was developed in the 1930s. The dance takes its name from the ‘cak’ sound that is repeated throughout and is based on the story of the Hindu epic called the Ramayana. You can watch performances of the dance all over the island and many shows take place outside under the stars. Recommended tour: Bali Sunset: Uluwatu Temple, Kecak Dance, and Jimbaran Bay
Those looking for something a little different in Bali can head to the area of Tabanan which is covered in lush rice paddies that sparkle with an emerald hue under the sun.
The big draw here is that in addition to checking out the scenery you can also get involved and learn how rice is grown and harvested in Bali. If you are feeling adventurous you can get knee-deep in mud in paddy and pick some of your own.
Monkey Forest is a Hindu temple complex in Ubud and also one of its main attractions. The complex is full of over 500 monkeys and the three temples that still stand here date from the 14th century.
The entire area is a nature reserve and you can walk around and take in the scenery as well as take photographs of the monkeys. You can buy bananas to feed the primates from the main entrance but beware if you have anything else on you like sunglasses or water bottles the monkeys have been known to grab what they can from visitors.
