What do we expect from students?

  • Students should maintain proper discipline and decorum in the school environment.
  • No alcohol, meat or smoking allowed on the campus.
  • Students should abstain from the intake of intoxicants during the course.
  • An attendance of 85% Is mandatory for the successful completion of the yoga alliance certificate.
  • Any misbehavior during the course on campus or in classes will lead to a point of cancellation of your certificate, even forceful abandonment from the campus.
  • In case of any emergency, if a student needs to leave the course halfway, his/her money will not be reimbursed; however, he/she can attend the same course at the same location at a different time with the permission of the organizers.
  • The school does not provide health insurance any damage covering during the course.
  • A student will be responsible for his or her own wellbeing and must communicate his/her special needs and follow teachers advice to avoid injuries.
  • The time table will be provided during the orientation and must be adhered to by all and sundry.

Does this 300-hour YTT only open to yoga instructors?

This course is not only for yoga instructors; it is also open to anybody who wants to brush up on their knowledge of yoga, meditation, and philosophy, deepen their own practise, or gain more credibility.

Is this yoga training in a certain tradition or style?

During the training, you will be exposed to a variety of styles, notably through your elective hour options. The school believes that this method of study better qualifies you to both teach and deepen your personal practice.

Is it necessary for me to have prior teaching experience to apply for this training?

No, you do not need any experience, you just need to have a little knowledge about yoga. This course is conducted for the purpose of giving you yoga experience.

Can I join this course if I'm injured?

Please let yogiPankaj know what type of injury you have before purchasing the course. It will not be a problem if it is a simple muscle strain. However, if the injury is more significant, it may limit your movement and practice. Please notify them ahead of time so that they can advise you.

Location

The retreat will take place near Varkala Beach in Pokhara, Nepal. The hotel is surrounded by nature with lots of palm trees and a little forest nearby. It's close to the main beach in Varkala and Black Beach. These are both within walking distance from the retreat. It's also located near a famous Hindu temple called Barahi Temple on the lake. It's also easily accessible from the airport and railway station.

The prices for this training include all meals, which are strictly vegetarian. Eating is not only important for physical health but also for maintaining good mental health.

Yoga practitioners have a different way of classifying food compared to scientists. Instead of proteins, fats, or carbs, they use the terms Satva, Rajas, and Tamas.

Consuming overly sweet food can make you feel tired or lazy. Sattvic food, on the other hand, provides energy, enthusiasm, and a light feeling, while rajasic food may cause restlessness.

Yoga requires a healthy diet to fuel intense practice. Performing asanas takes a lot of energy. A yoga diet helps renew and replenish the body, mind, and spirit by focusing on natural healing and energy.
