"This is the best place to find yourself by starting or furthering your practice. A friend introduced me to Zen and I instantly fell in love. I've gone to a few other yoga studios for drop-ins but none of them compared to the welcoming environment of Zen. Great place to be on any day, but it really turns the bad ones around for me and I couldn't be more thankful. I recommend Zen to people all the time since Ashley is amazing and I love Emily's Flow classes!"

"I found out about Gentle yoga classes at Zen Muskoka when I attended a local wellness and health presentation by one of the Zen instructors, Debbie Dawkins. I have never done yoga before and have always had poor flexibility, but her presentation motivated me to sign up for some private lessons. Debbie was very open to plan the lessons around my family schedule and welcomed not only myself but my wife and children. During the lessons, we were introduced to the basic positions. She also explained some of the history of yoga and meditation, as well as the health benefits of making it a part of your life. Debbie was very understanding of my physical limitations and was always encouraging me. I have now finished the private lessons and this experience has given me the confidence to start taking regular gentle yoga and beginner yoga classes at Zen Muskoka. I would highly recommend Zen Muskoka to others who would like to learn yoga."

"Wanting some yoga while staying in Muskoka on the Victoria Day weekend, my wife and I decided to try out Zen Muskoka. The many different classes, all nicely explained on their website, meant it could fit our schedule and amateur enthusiast fitness level. Even though a few minutes late, we were warmly welcomed and had a wonderful happy hips session with Barbi. And to top the weekend off, Barbi welcomed us on her and Steve's ultrapossible group ride the next day. Even though neither my wife nor myself are up to the fitness level of this dedicated community of cyclists and triathlons, we were again warmly welcomed by all. Thanks for making our stay in Muskoka so much more memorable and enjoyable!"

  • Review by Laurissa C. from Canada

"I am a university student and stayed in Bracebridge for a few months. I discovered Zen while out on a walk and never thought I would fall in love with yoga! Ashley is wonderful and made me feel so comfortable. She got me to try new things that I would have never (or should) attempted on my own! I even convinced a few of my friends to take up yoga. It brought so much warmth and relaxation to the cold and dark winter! Now I am home (still doing yoga thanks to YouTube), but I am so excited for the day when I can come back for a yoga visit. Thanks for great yoga!"

"I love Zen Muskoka Yoga Studio. Ashely has so many different people coming into the class. It's not just the stereotypical yogis. The classes are amazing and you will always feel so good afterwards. If you have never done yoga, you can still take any class and the teacher will help modify poses for you. This is by far my favorite place in town."
