The chalet has 3 levels:
On the ground floor there are 10 small individual beds with 4 shared bathrooms (separate showers and toilets, 2 sink areas). Each yogi has a private room.
The space on the upper floor is entirely dedicated to yoga. Mats and accessories are at your disposal. The shala is also equipped for reading. By the garden, you will find the common space, the open kitchen, the dining room, and the lounge.
Clearly, today’s lifestyle and general pace have never made it more important for people to know how to manage stress. This same context has also sparked a great interest in ancient techniques such as yoga, meditation and conscious breathing (breathwork), to help keep balance.
You will explore practical and reliable techniques, as well as a deeper understanding between mind and body. This 50-hour intensive training will consist of a lot of practice, theory and some group exercises. Meditation and conscious breathing will be the cornerstones, providing a broad source of techniques designed to keep you stable and resilient, as well as flexible, in any given situation. Reconnecting with your bodily sensations and mental activities is the first step in understanding your inner processes - that’s why these two pillars are essential.
A variety of practices will be covered, using combinations of physical movement, breathing and meditation. Physical postures / movements are essential to support your overall health and respiratory system. Breathing techniques, applied correctly, will calm the mind and open you to new worlds, facilitating your entry into meditation. Meditation is the gateway to inner strength and stability, as well as compassion and empathy.
By using a holistic system and understanding that each of you requires a different approach, you will learn to apply the right techniques at the right time, in your professional and personal life. On a deeper level, you will develop a new connection to yourself, others and life itself.
You will explore the different dimensions of meditation and breathing:
Born in France, dual nationality (English/French) and well-travelled, Chris discovered and began practicing yoga and meditation in 2012, and ultimately decided to become a certified teacher in 2017. From the start, his teachings were very inspired by breath, and quickly directed it towards the connection between breath and mind. He then continued his journey with training in Breathwork/Pranayama, Hatha Yoga, and Buddhist teachings over the following years.
You will enjoy small menus composed by the research staff with fresh and varied, seasonal and local produce. The meals can be tailored to food constraints.
The day begins with a small, light breakfast: fruit, tea or coffee, cookies, dried fruits, granola.
At the end of the morning practice, you will eat a sweet and organic brunch.
Dinner in the evening includes salad or soups depending on the season, a main dish and a dessert.
