Housed in a beautifully restored 400-year-old Quinta (vineyard estate), the retreat offers guests a unique blend of history, nature, and modern comfort. Also known as Quinta do Outeiro, your home is nestled in the small village of Cidadelhe, overlooking the rolling hills and surrounded by grape vines and olive trees. Take in the endless landscapes while wandering through the vineyards, or get back to simple roots by picking lemons or oranges in the gardens. Enjoy meals by the fire in the medieval dining room and practice under the starry constellations painted across the yoga room ceiling.

Slow down. Rest in the hammocks or lounge by the plunge pool before withdrawing to your shared or private room. Each room is inspired by the things they grow and source in their gardens, with views overlooking the vines and garden. Depending on the retreat, they have nine bedrooms that may be available to hosts and guests, including private and shared accommodation options. Please note they have a resident dog at the retreat and some frequent cat visitors.

About the program

Across 30 hours of continuing education, you explore the art and heart of teaching - through creative sequencing, theming, and assisting, as well as Ayurveda and nervous system tools for sustainable facilitation. Alongside these learning labs are daily practices, nourishing meals, and unhurried space to rest, reconnect, and refill your creative well. You will leave rested, resourced, and renewed - with fresh inspiration for your classes, deeper roots in your teaching, and a steady connection to the inner wellspring that sustains your work in the world. The wellspring retreat is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and refine your path as a yoga teacher.

Over the course of six days, you will deepen your knowledge through practical, skill-based workshops designed to elevate your teaching. From creative sequencing and hands-on assisting to breathwork and nervous system awareness, the program offers continuing education that supports both your professional growth and personal wellbeing. Equally valuable is the community you will share it with. This retreat is a space for yoga teachers to reconnect with each other, with their practice, and with the reason they began teaching in the first place. In a small group of 12 (maximum), every teacher brings their own experience, insight, and wisdom to the circle.

Together, you learn, reflect, and exchange ideas in a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters lasting friendships and renewed confidence. What makes this retreat truly special is its setting. Housed within a 400-year-old Quinta, lovingly restored with historic charm and modern comfort, The Source sits amidst vineyards and valleys with sweeping views of the Douro. Cozy corners, open terraces, and abundant nature create the ideal environment to rest and reset. With eight thoughtfully designed guest rooms - including shared and private options - your home is designed as the perfect place to rest and reconnect with your practice. It is an intimate, inspiring space where past graduates can reconnect, new friendships can form, and every teacher can refill their well.

Please plan your travel to arrive between 2:00 and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 and depart between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 8th, 2026. Each day at WellSpring combines continuing education with space for rest and connection. Mornings include two hours of meditation, prāṇāyāma, mantra, and āsana (Haṭha or Vinyāsa) to re-establish a strong personal practice. Afternoons feature three-hour workshops on topics such as sequencing and theming, hands-on assisting, nervous system tools for facilitators, and a group teaching circle. The program is designed to adapt to the group’s teaching experience and areas of interest, ensuring that each participant gains relevant skills and inspiration.

Evenings offer restorative and community-based sessions - such as yoga Nidra, sound healing, kīrtan, and a fireside teacher's sharing circle - along with plenty of unstructured time to relax, reflect, and recharge. This program is designed to give you the best of both worlds: the depth and structure of professional training, combined with the rest, connection, and inspiration of a retreat. There is no need to choose between study and restoration - here, you will benefit from both.

The retreat will take place in Cidadelhe, Vila Real, Portugal. The Source Retreat is located in a small town in the Douro Valley, centered between the larger towns of Mesao Frio and Peso Da Regua.

Repas

You will be served daily nutritious and satisfying meals prepared fresh, with seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients as well as fruit, tea, coffee, and water available throughout the day to keep you refreshed and energized, included in the price. You will also feel nourished by a menu that includes locally sourced ingredients (as many as possible from Eva Yoga's own garden and orchards). Their cooking is primarily plant-based and carefully crafted to support your energy levels throughout the training and they are happy to accommodate specific requirements.
