During the residential training, you will stay in a room with its sea view. There are two single rooms and two twin rooms. The rooms are located in the same house as the yoga shala, with sea view and only a few stairs away from the entry to the private beach. All the rooms have their own bathrooms with a shower. Because of the open positioning of the house, the place mostly has a chilling wind, and also, for sustainability reasons, Kalyani Yoga Puerto Galera does not have any air conditioning, but has ceiling fans in every room (additional fans at your request). Wi-Fi is available.
Programme
How the training works
The training consists of 10 days of online course followed by 15 days of onsite immersion. During the online training, the contact hours may vary depending on your learning progress and needs. Once an inquiry is received, Kalyani Yoga Puerto Galera will get in touch to arrange an introductory session to understand your current situation. Based on this, they will recommend a suitable frequency for the online sessions, depending on the time remaining before the on-site visit. The usual amount is 10 hours with possible additional sessions if required via Zoom, Teams, and WhatsApp.
Furthermore, the online part is intended to cover 50 hours of the training, designed to give an introduction to the theoretical knowledge of the training. The learning is based on the Zoom sessions and requires self-study. There are tests in place for you to check your knowledge at any time - not obligatory but advisable - also they are repeatable. Your 15-day in-person immersion will be held in the Philippines and you will receive a certificate upon completion.

With a background in dance and aerobics and over 25 years of experience in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, her teaching carries both precision and grace. This teacher training is held online. Kalyani Yoga Puerto Galera is located in Puerto Galera, Philippines (GMT+8), and they will live-stream yoga classes via Zoom which you can participate from the comfort of your home.
In-person training
Kalyani Yoga School is located above the beaches of Tabinay, close to the city center of Puerto Galera (Poblacion). You can easily find it, following the Calapan Road or Western Nautical Highway going south in the direction of Calapan. Built on the rocks away from busy streets and shops, the school has a sea view to the east and private access to the beach through the garden. There, you'll be surrounded by beautiful nature with lots of chilling wind against the temperature, the sound of the sea as your natural metronome, and a magnificent and energizing sunrise view every day. The island life in Puerto Galera, Mindoro, offers plenty of sports activities, paired with a vibrant nightlife offered by bars with live music and delightful restaurants.

You will be served daily meals during the residential training included in the price. Kalyani’s Kitchen is an integral part of the Kalyani yoga teacher training experience. Every day you are nourished with fresh, lovingly prepared homemade soul food that supports both your practice and your recovery. The kitchen is not about menus or multiple options - it is about one thoughtfully composed meal per serving, designed to provide balanced, sufficient nutrition for intensive physical and mental work. The cuisine is mostly vegetarian, built around whole foods, fresh vegetables, quality proteins, and grounding flavors that keep the body strong and the mind clear.
Each meal is nutritionally aligned with the demands of training, helping you stay energized, focused, and well-fed throughout the day. In between sessions, healthy snacks such as fruits and nuts are always available to keep blood sugar stable and cravings away. The style of Kalyani’s Kitchen is rooted in regional diversity and seasonal availability. While they do not offer parallel menu choices like “meat, vegan, or fish,” your feedback directly shapes what is cooked.
