Programme
This yoga teacher training program is a holistic approach to teaching, and it covers all aspects of a yogic lifestyle. The material is based on ancient yogic teachings, and the experience of this course is transformational, as it teaches you how to actively apply yogic knowledge in your day-to-day life and how to share it with others. This course is suitable for beginner or intermediate yoga practitioners who wish to learn teaching methods and understand deeper scientific aspects of yogic practices such as asana, pranayama, and meditation.
This program will help you learn and explore yoga philosophy and practices in their ancient form, and it will allow you to integrate them into your modern lifestyle. One who completes this course successfully can individually conduct classes for beginners in yoga. The course integrates ancient yogic philosophy with modern application, allowing students to experience yoga as a complete lifestyle, not just a physical practice.

Syllabus
1. Asanas and yogic movements (120 different asanas and movements)
- Basic and preparatory movements - More than 30 basic and preparatory movements to warm up the body, muscles, and align the joints are taught in the program
- Yoga poses or asana - This training program includes about 90 different yoga poses, starting with poses for beginners and intermediate level, and some advanced poses are included, but it is for those who can do it easily
- Surya Namaskar - Sun salutations, a dynamic series of yoga poses to revitalize the body and mind. (Beginner, intermediate, and advanced series)
- Pranayama - Deep breathing, fast breathing, alternate nostril breathing (anuloma viloma), surya bhedan (right nostril breathing), bhastrika (bellows breath), bhramari (humming bee pranayama), ujjayi (psychic breath), shitali and shitakari (cooling pranayama)
- Cleansing process - Jalaneti and sutra neti (nasal cleansing with water and tube), vaman dhouti (stomach cleansing), kapalbhati (frontal lobe cleansing), agnisar dhouti (fire breath), tratak (candle gazing) from the Hatha yoga tradition
- Meditation - Including Omkar Meditation, Yoga Nidra, mantra meditation, and prana meditation

Professeurs
Manohar Shrestha
Manohar Shrestha grew up in a family rooted in yoga traditions. After overcoming serious childhood health issues through yoga and Reiki practice at the age of 15, he dedicated his life to the path of yoga and healing. He later completed his yogic studies at the Bihar School of Yoga in India and is a certified E-RYT 200 and E-RYT 500 yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, as well as a Singing Bowl Sound Therapist and Trainer. Through Purna Yoga Retreat in Pokhara, he shares yoga, meditation, and sound healing in a peaceful natural environment inspired by his father’s lifelong dedication to yoga.
Sudip Adhikari
Yoga has been a central part of Sudip's life since childhood, guiding a journey of self-discovery through Nepal and India. What began as curiosity about the mind–body connection gradually became a lifelong commitment to the practice and study of yoga and meditation. Over the past 15+ years, he has learned from Himalayan teachers and diverse traditions, including Vipassana meditation, Isha Yoga, Rajyog meditation, and teachings from spiritual masters across Nepal and India. He has also served as a yoga and meditation teacher, trekking guide, and facilitator at Purna Yoga Retreat.
Raj Kumar Kc
Raj began his spiritual journey at the age of 14, inspired by his uncle and his grandmother’s devotion to Bhakti Yoga, the path of love and devotion. What started as a personal practice soon grew into a deeper commitment as he experienced the positive effects of yoga on health and well-being. In 2016, his connection with Purna Yoga reignited his passion for yoga and trekking. He later completed yoga teacher trainings with Patanjali Yog Samithi in Kathmandu and Rishikul Yogshala in India (200-hour Yoga Alliance certification).

Purna Yoga Retreat is located in a quiet hillside area surrounded by nature. The atmosphere is peaceful and designed to support rest, reflection, and mindful living. Guests are encouraged to respect the calm environment and the shared retreat space. Purna Yoga Retreat is about 10 to 15 minutes by car from Lakeside Pokhara. You can easily reach the retreat by taxi or private transfer using the Google Maps location provided. From the center of Pokhara, Purna Yoga Retreat is located on a quiet hillside in North Lakeside, Panchase Road, just above the Lakeside area.
From Hallan Chowk (the main Lakeside intersection), it takes around 30 to 40 minutes on foot, walking toward the paragliding landing area and following the signs uphill to the training. They can also arrange pickup from Pokhara Airport (PKR), Tourist Bus Park, or anywhere in the city if requested in advance. Purna Yoga Retreat sits slightly above the busy Lakeside area, offering a peaceful environment while still being close to Pokhara’s main attractions.
