Ved Bhoomi Residency is the best choice to stay in Tapovan. It is in the yoga capital of India, Rishikesh. The prime location, nice surroundings, and natural view, plus easy access to the nearest local market and the availability of daily facilities, make it worth staying at.

300-hour traditional Bhakti YTTC in Rishikesh, India

All scriptures of yoga unanimously declare that Bhakti yoga is the yoga of Kaliyuga. The Sanskrit word “Bhakti” means devotion. Devotion is the natural orientation of pure emotion to god, with a view to experience divine communion. All great sages of the world have praised Bhakti as the greatest means and reward.

This Bhakti YTTC is based on the commentary of Swami Sivananda on the Bhakti Sutra of Sage Narada and the methods expressed in it. There are many great scriptures on Bhakti yoga, but the Bhakti Sutra of Sage Narada is considered as one of the most important, and it is in which Sage Narada describes the intricate details of Bhakti and possible means to attain divine love.

Assessment

The entire YTTC is the assessment of the students at all levels, including practical and written tests. At the successful completion of the course, an aspirant will be conferred a certificate, indicating that they are qualified to impart the techniques in which he or she has been trained.

Eligibility

  • The participants should have already completed a 200-hour YTTC.
  • The participants must have experience of yoga either as a practitioner or teacher (at least two years).
  • The participants should have spiritual orientation in order to harness and undergo the practices of Kriya yoga.
  • The participants should be open-minded and lenient towards religious discourses during the YTTC. However, participants are allowed to ask relevant questions for clarity.
  • The participants are not required to believe in god, but they should be able to respect others' beliefs.
  • The participants must be able to hold a posture of meditation for at least 20 minutes and have the ability to hold a relevant posture of Hatha yoga conveniently for some time (minimum of 15 seconds) without any discomfort.
  • The participants must have the capacity to hold the breath for five to 10 seconds in continuity of any practice without difficulty.
  • The participants should be able to practice disciplines of yoga, such as purity, punctuality, waking up early, participation in the daily activities, and so on.
  • The participants should have a good command of the English language as this is the medium of education.
  • The participants must have medical fitness - physical as well as mental. In cases otherwise, Sanatana Yog Sandesh must be detailed about the individual limitation, along with a medical report.
  • The participants must have the natural will and commitment to undergo the 28 days of intensive training with discipline in order to imbibe the knowledge of Bhakti yoga.

Curriculum

This 300-hour traditional Bhakti YTTC in Rishikesh, India incorporates a series of subtle topics for study and practice. All these topics come under the following heads:

1. Techniques, training, and practice

It incorporates several practices of Bhakti yoga, including important practices of Hatha yoga as well for greater efficiency into Bhakti yoga, which students will study in the course. They are:

2. Teaching methodology

This is a combination of complex topics such as designing a Bhakti yoga class, how to teach different practices of yoga, how to be a good yoga teacher, ethical guidelines, developing communication skills, time management, principles of demonstration, assistance, awareness, and correction.

You will also learn styles of teaching, specific needs of individuals in a yoga class, and business aspects of yoga teaching, etc.

3. Anatomy and physiology

This training will take place in Tapovan in Rishikesh. There are nearby places such as Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Ganga Beaches, Sivananda Ashram, and Parmarth Niketan for Ganga Aarti. Students can go and visit many shops, bookstalls, astrologers, priests, etc., between Laxman and Ram Jhula.

The most convenient way is to take a flight from Delhi to Dehradun. Dehradun domestic airport is around 20 kilometers from Rishikesh. From Dehradun, local cars are easily available to come to Rishikesh. One can also take a car from Delhi airport to Rishikesh, which is around six hours by a car drive.

From Delhi, it's around a six-hour drive and from Dehradun, it's around a 40-minute drive. The car fare from Delhi to Rishikesh is around 6,000 INR, and from Dehradun to Rishikesh, it is 1,500 INR.
