Cottages offers a homey and comfortable stay in a blissful setting. The rooms are as natural as possible to make you feel connected, always keeping your comfort in mind. The rooms are designed with a vintage feel and a minimalistic approach. Most of the material used in it is as natural as possible.

  • 4 bed / 2bed / Double Huts / Private Single, all the huts come with an attached bathroom!

The Huts come with your daily essentials such as towels, toilet paper, mosquito net, bed linen, bed cover, pillows, blanket, and a fan.

  • Changes of linen are done once a week.

Overview

Hatha yoga is the mother of all asana practices and with that the most fundamental philosophy. The term is derived from the Sanskrit ha, meaning "sun," and tha, meaning "moon." Hatha practices are designed to unite and balance these two energies. Patanjali describes Hatha yoga as an eightfold path, consisting of eight mind-body disciplines to be mastered. All other physical practices of yoga, such as Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Iyengar, stemmed from the Hatha yoga tradition.

Vinyasa flow yoga means movement with breath to attain balance in the mind and body. It is a modern yoga style, more in motion dynamically with incorporating basic Vinyasa principles of sequencing and movements. Vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow. Inhalation is usually connected to upward, open movements, while exhalation is often tied to downward movements or twists

Being a qualified Hatha Vinyasa yoga teacher means you have a very broad skillset that allows you to teach many different Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative yoga classes. Your classes will be creative and varied, always aiming to bring peace of mind to your students.

The yoga training in Goa is a unique, profoundly transforming personal experience that is based on the ancient Gurukula teaching system, which integrates the student's daily life into the yoga training in Goa. For twenty-seven joyful, intense days of community living, students strengthen their yoga practice through self-discipline and awareness, building a firm foundation from which they are able to teach others confidently.

The yoga certificate course provides a fantastic opportunity to awaken or deepen your yoga practice. The experience provides possibilities to understand the meaning and purpose of life and share these yogic philosophies with others. The goal of this training program is to produce qualified and inspiring yoga teachers who are able to draw on their own practice and personal discipline in imparting the yoga experience to others.

Evening program is once a week and consists of various heart-opening activities such as Kirtan and cacao ceremonies / ecstatic dance and contact improvisation / sound healing and angel walk / Yin yoga and Yoga nidra / Mantra chanting, and Tratka. You may be able to experience all or some of it in your stay.

Requirements

  • A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. Basic knowledge of yoga postures is essential. A sincere desire to learn and oan pen mind to the teachings of yoga is required. Self-discipline is required during the course as it requires you to be fully involved physically, mentally, and spiritually for it to be highly rewarding. The school encourages students to apply for the course when they are ready on a holistic level and committed to meeting the needs of the course with an open heart!
  • The school recommends 1 year of practice before you join the course, or take a 2-week retreat with them before joining the TTC as preparation.
  • This course will be taught in English; therefore, it is recommended that you be proficient in the language.
  • To ensure the success of the program, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures, and asana classes.

Set in the cool shades of lush greenery, Earth Yoga Village is within a 5 - 7 minutes' walk to South Goa's most beautiful beaches of Patnem and Palolem. You will find the village to be extremely central and conveniently located by the road in the area of Colomb in between the mentioned beaches.

South Goa is known for its blissful vibes, laid-back people, and beautiful nature. Most of the beaches are largely unspoiled and are inhabited by both local fishermen and foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village itself.

The location offers an ideal place to explore the stunning beaches, beautiful local villages, and surrounding nature outside of your retreat schedule.

The Earth Yoga Village team is trying their best to make the village more eco-friendly, and they work hard on adding further eco-friendly measures. Their connection with nature is vital, and they strive towards that connection in their everyday life and with every action. They welcome you to join the movement by bringing your refillable bottle, keeping plastic to a necessary minimum, and being mindful of the resources you use from Mother Nature.

Please bear in mind that you live near the surrounding nature, which means you might come across the odd visitor like a frog, insects, and monkeys - they are all very friendly!

Repas

At their village, Earth Yoga knows of the incredible benefits of nutritious food. Like what Hippocrates said, they consider food to be medicine. Their founder, Anand Garg, also believes as much in this, since he has cured some of his persistent ailments with food.

Most of the meals you'll see on their menu are his creations, and he has also personally trained the kitchen staff. In his free time, you may still find him spending time in the kitchen.

All their food is vegan and gluten-, additive-, preservative-, and emulsifier-free. They use only fresh, seasonal herbs and vegetables from regional farmers. The daily menu of wonderfully nourishing vegan food supports self-healing of the body, enhances detoxification, and leaves you feeling strong and rejuvenated.

Retreat meals

Earth Yoga Village offers three healthy and wholesome meals per day (Indian, oriental, and Continental) along with tea, fruit, and filtered drinking water throughout the day. Everything is made with a lot of love, and they source locally. Their breakfast and dinner are the big meals, while lunch is lighter.

Each Saturday is the community day off (no food is served) in their village, and is a great opportunity to explore the many other restaurants, shops, and beaches in and around South Goa.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Goa International Airport (GOI). Earth Yoga Village can organise pick-up on request at an extra charge of INR 2,000, 08:00 to 20:00 / INR 2,200 from 20:00 to 08:00

Arrival by train

The nearest railway station is the Canacona railway and bus station, about 2 kilometers from Earth Yoga Village. It can be reached from Madgaon Junction railway station in just 30 minutes, and Madgaon Bus Station in about 90 minutes

Arrival by bus

There are bus services at regular intervals of 30 minutes from the Canacona Bus Station to the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) Bus Depot in Margao.

Directions

The village is located at the Colomb, between Patnem and Palolem, both the beaches are 5 - 7 minutes walking distance. The easiest way to find the village is to follow the Patnem - Palolem road and take a right turn from the mosque, and then follow the road for about 100 meters. You will find it on the left.
