Aayush Sharma
Aayush’s journey into yoga began at a young age, inspired by ancient texts that intertwined meditation with a deeper understanding of the practice. He fully embraced the physical aspects of Ashtanga Yoga at the age of 13, studying in Mysore and learning from some of the most respected yogis in the field, which deepened his dedication to the discipline. His path led him from his village near Delhi to the yoga capital of Rishikesh, where he committed himself to mastering the art of yoga, living, studying, assisting and teaching in YTTC's until present.
Locatie
Your training takes place in Rishikesh, a sacred town on the banks of the holy Ganga River, surrounded by the Himalayan foothills. Known as the Yoga Capital of the World, Rishikesh has been home to sages, seekers, and spiritual traditions for centuries, making it an inspiring destination for deepening your meditation practice.
Your training takes place in the peaceful town of Laxman Jhula, on the opposite side of the river from Tapovan. This area is known for its authentic ashrams, small temples, and traditional Indian cafés, offering a quieter atmosphere while still being very close to the heart of Rishikesh. Just a short walk brings you to the iconic Laxman Jhula suspension bridge, with its lively energy and sweeping views of the Ganga.
Just steps from the training venue, you can enjoy the peaceful riverbanks for silent walks and reflection, visit ancient temples, and witness the famous Ganga Aarti—an unforgettable evening ceremony of chanting and devotion.
The neighborhood offers a mix of local cafés serving Ayurvedic teas and organic meals, traditional Indian markets with handicrafts, and quiet spots along the river where you can watch the sunrise or simply sit in stillness. For those who wish to explore further, you’ll find hiking trails into the Himalayas, waterfalls, and serene ashrams nearby.
While Rishikesh attracts seekers from all over the world, it retains a warm, small-town charm where you can connect with the local culture, immerse in spiritual energy, and feel supported in your journey of self-discovery.
