Programme
The 200-hour multi-style teacher training is a 25-day educational course for practitioners who feel that the time has come to embark on a career as a yoga instructor. The training is very thorough, beginning in the early morning and continuing until sunset, covering the vast array of the practical and theoretical aspects of yoga (pranayama, asanas, meditation, anatomy, alignment, and philosophy).
One receives knowledge of Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Yin, and Vinyasa yoga with the well-crafted course. This includes the theoretical and practical aspects of asanas, pranayama, philosophy, Mudras and Bandhas, Kriyas, adjustments, alignments, anatomy, and meditation.
The course is not just a practice, it is a preparation to make you a yoga teacher with complete and vast knowledge and confidence! The YTT will deepen your practice and connect your soul to the yoga teacher within. To be a good teacher; you need the best teacher!

Who is this for?
Generally, there is no prior experience or qualification needed in order to join the 100, 200, 500, and intensive Maa Shakti Yog courses. Those courses will introduce you to the philosophical and practical aspects of yoga regardless if you’re a complete beginner or a long-time practitioner. However, they do recommend students get basic yoga knowledge prior to starting the training.
You can take up a course at a local school to get attuned to yoga terminology and basic asanas. This will help you to pick up the more rigorous asanas of RYT 200 hours and the other activities of your daily schedule comfortably.
Flexibility is not a prerequisite to learning yoga. The patient teachers will work with you according to your individual bone and muscle structure and will help you to stretch tight muscles and strengthen muscles that are weak. Yoga is a vast subject with many traditions and styles. During the courses, you will look at all the key pillars of this ancient art.
They aim to establish a practical and theoretical base leaving you with the relevant skills to teach and grow further. Specifically, you will be trained in multi-style yoga practices such as Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Iyengar, and Vinyasa flow as well as Bhakti, Karma, and Mantra yoga.
The courses are mainly taught in English. Thus, a basic understanding of the English language is helpful to get the most out of the program. People who are not proficient in English are welcome to enroll in the program as well.
For them, yoga can be experienced on a spiritual and emotional level. In addition, you will be taught Sanskrit terms throughout the courses, too. Many students come to get more intensive yoga training to deepen their personal practice. Although the courses are meant for yoga teacher training, they also cover deeper, more complex asanas and meditation levels that you can use for.
The maximum class size lies between 10 to 15 students. They believe in quality over quantity which is why they keep the class sizes small. This ensures that they can address all questions from students and give each one proper attention. The age of students ranges from 18 to 65.

Just by missing a day, fundamental principles can be lost. They understand that due to sickness you might be unable to attend a class. However, missed topics discussed in class should be self-studied by the student. In order to receive your teaching certificate, a 96% course attendance is required.
Course syllabus
Asanas (3 hours a day)
Asana is a Sanskrit word that means, "yogic postures or movements." Traditionally defined, asana means "comfortable seat", which means, it is a seated posture used in meditation.
Pranayama
Pranayama, also known as breathing exercise is the foundation of yoga practice. "Prana" means breath and "Ayama" means to control; on combined, "Pranayama" means "to control or hold the breath."
Meditation
Observing your deep breaths which facilitate to still your mind for a few minutes, where it is away from all the unnecessary aspects; this is meditation. There are mainly 4 types of meditation styles you'll focus on, i.e., Traditional Himalayan meditation, healing meditation, crystal meditation, and sound meditation.
Mantra chanting
Chanting the powerful, spiritual mantras helps in the union of the body with the mind. It will surely give you a deeply philosophical experience.
Anatomy and physiology
Anatomy deals with the bodily structure of an individual and how to protect from injuries. In the yoga teacher training classes, they conduct the theoretical class of anatomy too.
Alignment and adjustment
The yoga teacher training courses focus on body alignments, which means doing poses or asanas in an effortless state of body, according to the body composition of an individual. Alignments are very significant to understand any style of yoga practice.
Philosophy
Philosophy here means yoga philosophy which includes the systemic study of the body, mind, and spirit of an individual.
Mudra and Bandhas
Yoga Mudras means "gesture" that facilitates the flow of energy in the body of an individual. Treating under the heading of Yoga Mudras, Bandhas is body locks in yoga.
Shatkarmas
Shatkarmas is basically the six purification techniques that aim to clean the body, free from all diseases. More than this, it improves the flow of prana into the organs of the body.

Schedule
The course schedule runs from Monday to Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, the classes run for half the day and there will be no classes on Sundays. Occasionally, they offer spiritual tours based on availability on Sundays. During your teaching days, they make sure you have enough breaks between classes.
