About the training
The course consists of two modules:
- Module one: Foundations for teaching yoga and mindfulness to children (October 24th - 27th) - 40 hours
- Module two: Deepen your learning - expand their world (October 28th - November 1st)
You must complete both modules to gain the certification. Join Divine Light Yoga in the heart of Canggu, Bali, for a nurturing children’s yoga teacher training set just steps from the beach at the lush and tranquil Serenity Yoga - a green, eco-conscious yoga space surrounded by vibrant cafés and the gentle rhythm of island life. Whether you join them for a full 95-hour training, your time will be filled with creativity, community, and connection. During your long, lazy lunch breaks, you will have time to relax in a hammock, chill in the pool, stroll along the beach, or join a Restorative yoga class - whatever nourishes you most.
You include a beautiful welcome lunch on day one and a celebratory dinner on the final evening, and you will have day four free to explore, take a day trip, or simply rest and integrate. This training is more than a certification - it is an unforgettable experience of personal and professional transformation. This training is not just a professional development course - it is a powerful investment in yourself. You will walk away with practical skills to confidently teach children’s yoga. But beyond that, you will gain your own toolkit for managing stress, reconnecting to play, and supporting your own mental and emotional well-being. You will deepen your personal practice, reignite your creativity, and become part of an open-minded, supportive global community.
This is a journey that nourishes you long after the plane ride home. This training is for anyone who loves working with children and wants to share the life-changing tools of yoga, mindfulness, and emotional regulation - whether you are a parent, teacher, therapist, yoga teacher, or simply someone who feels called to support children's well-being. You do not need any previous yoga or teaching experience - just an open heart and a willingness to learn. With the first three-day 25-hour module, you will gain immediate, practical tools to use with children and complete the remaining hours with the second module. After module one, you will be able to:
- Parents and caregivers: Use breathing games and mindful movement to calm your child at bedtime; make mealtimes smoother and screen-free using connection-based tools; motivate your child before afterschool activities or when energy is low; and create short, meaningful rituals that bring your family closer and more grounded
- Educators, therapists, and social workers: Lead two-minute breathing breaks to shift children's energy and refocus attention; weave mindfulness into circle time, phonics, story-time, or one-to-one sessions; use yoga-based techniques to help children transition between tasks with more ease; begin your focused-based sessions with calming or energising movement and breathing to get students ready to learn; and incorporate yoga, mindfulness and relaxation into your daily classroom and extra-curricula clubs
- Yoga teachers: Expand your offerings by introducing family or kids yoga sessions to your current classes; offer yoga and well-being classes in clubhouses, kindergartens, or wellness spaces; tap into the growing demand in Hong Kong for mental health tools for children; and become part of a community that’s helping shape a healthier, more mindful future generation
This training is practical, inspiring, and immediately useful. You will explore foundational yoga philosophy, how children’s brains and bodies develop, and the exact tools they need to manage big feelings, build confidence, and regulate their emotions. You will leave module one with the skills and confidence to start sharing straight away with your children at home, your students in school, or your community.
Join module two to deepen your training and gain your certification with advanced practices for teens, restorative and therapeutic yoga, yoga philosophy for children, and yoga for neurodiverse children. All immersive training sessions will be led by Laura, a highly experienced children’s yoga educator. Comprehensive training manuals and creative resources are beautifully designed, practical, and ready to use. Join over 400 Divine Light Yoga-trained teachers for continued guidance, inspiration, and connection.
