The education takes place at Centre Lothlorien, The Yoga Institute France. Centre Lothlorien is an international guesthouse and course center in the northeast of France at a center point of western Europe. It is situated in the rural areas of the Champagne-Ardenne region in a unique natural location surrounded by forests. The center itself lies in a valley and covers approximately 14 hectares with forest, hills, gardens, fields, creeks, and two lakes. This energetic and relaxing place is an ideal base to find peace and tranquility within you. Centre Lothlorien is a Dutch initiative. At the center, vegetarian meals are being prepared.

Program
This is a residential course with classes 5 days a week from 09:00 - 18:30. Outside these hours there is an opportunity for self-practice and self-study.

The Yoga Institute
Pinky More and a team of experienced teachers organize a yoga teacher training course in affiliation with The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, the oldest organized yoga center in the world. The Yoga Institute was founded over 100 years ago by Shri Yogendra, who learned yoga from a Saddhu. Shri Yogendra was the first householder Yogi and the first to bring knowledge to the public. The teachings are based on Indian Classic Yoga, which has a holistic approach.
Content of the teacher training course
The course covers theoretical and practical aspects of yoga. The practical aspects include all prime asanas with background knowledge and how, why, when, and when not to use them. Further, you will learn about pranayama, techniques leading to meditation, and Kriyas. Attention is given to unique techniques and concepts pioneered by the founders of The Yoga Institute.
The theoretical aspects include introductions to the origin of yoga and yoga texts such as Hatha Yoga Pradipika. You will go into depth with the psychology and philosophy of yoga. With the help of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, you will consciously look at your own way of thinking and learn how to live an easier, healthier, and happier life. The course includes anatomy and physiology classes and approaches to modern-day topics like dealing with stress.

Schedule
The arrival and registration is on Saturday. Sunday is the introduction day. All the classes take place from Monday until Friday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (subject to change). Everyday time is given for reflection and self-study. The weekends in between students are free to spend at leisure. You can study, relax, go sightseeing, or visit your family. Last Friday students will give a practical and theoretical exam. In the evening a ceremony is held and the certificates are handed out. The last Saturday is the departure day.

Instructors
Pinky More
Pinky More was born in India. Here she has completed an advanced teachers training program at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, the oldest organized yoga center in the world. In Kerala, India, Pinky has studied Ayurvedic massage and Pancha Karma Therapy. Pinky is a certified Prenatal Postnatal and Garbhsanskar Guide certified by the World Yoga Organisation. Since 2012 Pinky organizes yoga retreats in France. Currently, besides leading her teacher training courses in France, affiliated with The Yoga Institute she participates in yoga programs in several European countries: Dubai, Ghana and India.
Richard Slager
Richard Slager was born in the Netherlands. For years he has worked in the hotel and tourism industry in different countries. In Kerala, India, Richard has studied the basis of Ayurveda and Herbology. Richard has completed the yoga teacher training course at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai. Now Richard teaches at The Yoga Teacher Training Course at Centre Lothlorien, organizes courses in the practical use of local herbs, and prepares oils and other herbal preparations.
Frans Van Dongen
Frans lives in the Netherlands. He has been associated with the Yoga Institute, Mumbai since 1974 and has completed the seven-month yoga teacher training internally at the Yoga Institute. The Yoga Sutras in particular fascinate Frans to this day. He has translated and studied the sutras from Sanskrit. At the insistence of other sadhakas, a dictionary has been made with all Sanskrit words translated into English.

Centre Lothlorien
Centre Lothlorien is located at an estate of 14 hectares with hills, gardens, fields, creeks, and two lakes, surrounded by forest. It is a quiet peaceful location. The closest village, Foulain, is two kilometers away. The closest city, Chaumont, is 10 kilometers away and provides all the expected facilities. The area around the center has a lot of hiking and bicycling possibilities. You could walk for hours without seeing a soul.

The Haute Marne is a touristic undiscovered department of France, in the Champagne-Ardenne Region. It is full of rolling hills, forests, valleys, and nostalgic French villages. Beautiful cities such as Langres and Troyes are close by,
