Main house
At Shambhava Yoga Konalani, sleeping at the main house is the most convenient option. It allows you to run back to your room without a worry or go to the bathroom during mid-night without a missed step. The house has shared bathrooms.
Private tents
The private canvas cabin tents at Konalani Yoga Hawaii are spacious, simple, and comfortable—ideal if you value quiet and personal space while enjoying the beauty of Hawaiʻi. Each tent is a 10×10 canvas structure with approximately 7 feet of headroom at the peak and about 100 square feet of interior space.
The tents are fully waterproof and well ventilated, and each includes a covered canvas lanai that allows airflow even during rain. Inside, you will find a twin bed on a raised frame with full bedding, a vinyl floor, and a small dresser for personal items. The tents are located just 60–100 feet from the main house across a soft lawn, providing easy access to bathrooms and showers at any hour. Hawaiʻi has no dangerous wildlife, and each tent is thoroughly cleaned before arrival. Keeping the tent zipped ensures a comfortable and safe experience.

The 200-hour yoga teacher training does not just train teachers—it transforms practitioners. Through regenerative movement, breath, and meditation, you will rebuild your foundation from the inside out, discovering a practice that is intelligent, sustainable, and deeply alive.
Rebuild your body with regenerative movement
Most yoga wears the body down—pushing joints to their limits, isolating muscles, and chasing external shapes. The approach at Konalani Yoga Hawaii renews the body through fascia-informed, functional movement that strengthens your deep core and reconnects you to your natural mobility. You will move better, feel better, and sustain your practice for life.
Awaken your awareness with breath and meditation
Yoga begins when you turn your attention inward. You will learn time-tested pranayama and meditation practices from a living lineage, giving you tools to calm your nervous system, expand awareness, and transform stress into steady presence. Whether you are teaching or practicing, this training makes meditation tangible and accessible.
Train in Hawaiʻi at a living ashram
This is not just a tropical retreat—it is an immersive environment for inner transformation. At the oceanfront ashram, you will live your practice each day through meditation, community, mentorship, and service. Nourishing food, nature, and spiritual depth create the space for true connection and renewal.
Regenerative yoga: movement that heals

Most yoga breaks you down. The approach at Konalani Yoga Hawaii builds you up—restoring strength, fluidity, and confidence through fascia-informed movement that supports your body for life, surrounded by the warmth and beauty of yoga in Hawaiʻi.
Strengthen from the inside out
Shape-based yoga often isolates muscles, stresses joints, and disconnects you from your core. The Konalani Yoga Hawaii method rewires your body’s foundation by awakening deep core support, strengthening the fascia network, and cultivating whole-body integration. The result is natural strength, easeful mobility, and a body that feels regenerated—not worn down.
Prevent injury, move smarter
Too many practitioners suffer from yoga-induced injuries, such as hip impingements, shoulder strain, and hamstring tears. Konalani Yoga Hawaii teaches you to move with functional integrity, using patterns that protect joints, preserve tissues, and prevent pain. This is not just safer—it is smarter movement that carries into every part of life.
Make movement a meditation
Asana is more than physical—it is an embodied meditation. The approach to movement at Konalani Yoga Hawaii helps you not just slow down, but feel deeply and move from that feeling, so you can trust that your practice is guiding you toward healing. The method is science-based, yet infused with awareness practices passed down through the yogic tradition—bringing together the best of both worlds to create a practice that is intelligent, intuitive, and alive.
Functional physiology: anatomy that moves

Go beyond anatomy with fascia-informed, holistic movement. This training at Konalani Yoga Hawaii teaches natural, functional movement patterns so that your time on the mat improves everything—from lifting groceries to running ultras, and everything in between.
Move how you are designed to move
Learn the natural design of your body—from joint structures to muscle chains—to build a practice that works with your anatomy, not against it. This knowledge helps you move with integrity, prevent injury, and create a foundation that lasts beyond the mat.
Injury prevention through intelligence
Most injuries in yoga come from misaligned effort and repetitive strain. The approach at Konalani Yoga Hawaii trains you to recognize common pitfalls and adapt poses to protect your joints, tendons, and fascia. You will gain tools to practice and teach intelligently, with longevity in mind.
Strength that connects, not isolates
Forget muscle isolation. Konalani Yoga Hawaii teaches you to build connected strength by engaging deep core support and functional muscle patterns. The result is strength that supports movement in every direction—on the mat, at work, and in daily life.
Revitalizing pranayama: vitality through balance

Breath is the bridge between the subtle and the physical aspects of the practice. Informed by the science of pulmonology and neuroscience, as well as the yogic tradition of pranayama, this training at Konalani Yoga Hawaii guides you to discover that the real power of breath is not in producing a big, forceful inhale, but in balancing your breath to restore vitality.
Breathe better, live better
Your breath is your most immediate and powerful tool for healing, energy, and focus, yet few people ever learn to use it well. In this training, you will explore time-tested breath practices that help calm anxiety, balance energy, and build emotional resilience. By learning to breathe with awareness, you will change how you feel—on the mat and in your life.
Science meets tradition
The approach to pranayama at Konalani Yoga Hawaii is shaped by both scientific insight and the living yogic tradition. You will gain a clear understanding of how breath influences your nervous system, mental state, and physical health. Each practice is designed to be accessible, practical, and directly supportive of meditation and vitality.
The breath as meditation
Breath is more than a physical function—it is a gateway to meditation. You will learn the natural breath mantra and practices passed down through the ShambhavAnanda Yoga lineage, using the breath to turn your attention inward. Through these practices, you will develop concentration, clarity, and a steadier, more resilient mind.
Vibrant meditation: awareness that transforms

Meditation is not just a technique—it is a way of being. The practice at Konalani Yoga Hawaii connects you to a lineage spanning more than a century and four realized teachers, passing down techniques, philosophy, and Shakti to make meditation a transformational part of your everyday life.
A living lineage of meditation
Most meditation apps and popular techniques offer tools to calm the mind temporarily, but ShambhavAnanda Meditation is different. It is a living tradition, passed directly from teacher to student for over 100 years and across four generations of realized practitioners, with practices that help you awaken inner awareness, not just quiet your thoughts. You will experience methods that are rooted in lineage, yet profoundly relevant for modern life.
Quiet the mind, open the heart
You will learn a diverse set of tools to work with the mind and emotions, including mantra, visualization, breath awareness, heart-centered focus, and more. These practices help you steady your attention, reduce reactivity, and open to a deeper sense of connection—within yourself and with others.
Transmute struggles into strength
In the ShambhavAnanda tradition, meditation is not separate from life—it is how challenges are transformed into spiritual growth. This training at Konalani Yoga Hawaii teaches you to cultivate inner awareness in every activity, using meditation to move from surviving to thriving, wherever life takes you.
