Kootenay Yoga School is based on the Punta Sur Jungle Cabanas. A perfect place for people who want to enjoy their YTT experience away from civilization and in the beauty of the Caribbean.

They are located in a residential area on the south side of Isla Mujeres within walking distance of “El Garrafón” National Park and the Mayan Ruin, and only 10 minutes by car from downtown.

In their comfortable, furnished one and two bedroom apartments, complete with kitchens and private entrance terrace, there is no phone or TV, only books and the sound of birds and nature. In the upstairs apartments, you will find a delightful ocean view and in the downstairs ones a wonderful garden view.

The property, only six apartments, is surrounded by quiet and peaceful gardens. They also have a “palapa” (thatched hut) which will be used as your natural outdoor classroom. And don’t forget to enjoy their refreshing pool! Their courteous bilingual staff will ensure you a memorable vacation!

Join Stacy Sinclair on this immersive transformational journey in aligning with your authentic self. This yoga teacher training provides the space to go deep, get confident, and peel away the layers of doubt and shame holding you back. Learning is accelerated, confidence is amplified, and new habits are formed.

Develop a rock-solid practice and business that supports you through life's ups and downs. It does not matter if you have spent years practicing or are just beginning, this training is open to all levels. Kootenay Yoga School believes that the practice of yoga is a continuous journey that you can hop on at any stage of your life. Taking your first yoga teacher training is more about setting a strong foundation to support the best version of you in order to fill your cup up first. Only then, you can truly bring your best teachings to the world.

Each day includes two yoga practices, in the morning to invigorate and in the evening to restore, and two daily meditation or pranayama practices. Asana labs consist of breaking down the postures, sequencing, proper alignment and theory, anatomy workshops, practice teaching, and adjusting. Lecture labs consist of philosophy, ethics, history, kirtan, professional development, and marketing. In between will be plenty of time for reflection, conversation, quiet time, and journaling. There will also be a few special evening classes mixed in for games, movies, dancing, and play.
