For the in-person portion of the training, you will stay at Casa Kula.
Casa Kula is the Guatemalan home of Kula Collective's co-founders. It is an eco-friendly and nourishing space, filled with all the comforts of home, including healing herbs, tropical fruits, loving animals, and warm smiles.
This retreat space offers delicious vegetarian meals, daily yoga and meditation, a large temazcal sauna, a beautiful lake-view teakwood yoga platform as well as both shared accommodation and glamping options.

Program
Prerequisites
This 300-hour yoga teacher training requires the prerequisite of having already taken a 200-hour yoga teacher training, having teaching experience, and a strong asana practice. If you don’t meet these requirements, but still feel like this training is a good fit for you, please send an inquiry to the Kula Collective team!
How the training works
- Required online tools: You will need a reliable internet connection, Zoom, and Teachable to participate in the online portion of the training.
- Live classes: Online pre-course and post-course LIVE 2-hour calls two weeks before/after the training.
- Pre-course material: 70 hours of self-paced recorded online that will need to be completed prior to your in-person training dates. The materials are shared via Teachable and can be completed in a minimum of 9 days.
- You will have unlimited access to this material to refer to after the training when you go into the world and teach!

In-person portion
The in-person 22-day training is designed to bring the teachings alive through learning in a dynamic and interactive community. Through peer teaching and hands-on assists, it emphasizes philosophy, therapeutics, ceremony, and earth medicine.
You will have an optional Kula Karma day following the training that you will have the opportunity to participate in OR a Karma project after the training to shine your light in your hometown!
In-person training includes

Instructors
Jiya Randall
Jiya Julia Marie is a wellness practitioner, teacher & creative with over 15 years experience facilitating self-development, both internationally and online. She is an ERYT-500 level yoga teacher with over fifteen years experience teaching students and educating teachers. She specialises in philosophy, ceremonial space-holding, energetic healing, vocal empowerment and creative therapy.
Randi Schiffman
Randi is certified E-RYT 500, influenced by many traditions such as Ashtanga, Sivananda, Iyengar, Yin, and Restorative. She has facilitated over 25 international 200 and 500-hour yoga teacher training since 2010 and has helped to establish an experiential permaculture and yoga retreat center on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Randi continues to teach and practice wherever she is in the world. She currently offers 200 and 500-hour yoga teacher training courses and retreats in Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, and Thailand. She is also a certified Thai masseuse.

Online training
This training includes 70 hours of online portion that should be finished before your arrival in Guatemala. The materials will be shared via Teachable and can be covered in a minimum of 9 days.
Additionally, there will be live sessions via Zoom that you can participate in from the comfort of your home. The live sessions will be based on the Maryville, Tennessee, USA timezone (EDT, GMT-4).
In-person training
Casa Kula is located in Tzununa, in the western highlands of Guatemala, with stunning views of the serene Lake Atitlan and her volcanoes seen through banana palms, avocado trees, and lush green coffee forests.

Please book your flight to La Aurora International Airport (GUA). Airport transfer is not provided.
Lake Atitlan is about 3.5 hours from the airport. A month before the training begins, you will receive an email from your lead facilitator with arrival information. At that time, your lead facilitator will answer questions regarding arrival, and organize group rides, shared taxis, shuttles, etc. Kula Collective helped several hundred people arrive at the lake with safety and ease.
Private shuttles are highly recommended and can be arranged for a direct service from Guatemala City to San Marcos La Laguna for a cost of 110 USD. For more information, please send an inquiry.

- A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
