The lovely and colorful trainee house is located in historical Paia town. The house is furnished with a full kitchen and cooking supplies, beds with linen, as well as a washing machine, and patio and yard out back. The rooms are shared with the option to have a private room.
The organic grocery store, Mana is one block away. The yoga shala is about a 12-minute walk and Maui's sparkling beaches are just a minute down the road by foot!
Program

Nadia Toraman
Nadia Toraman's love for sharing the gift of yoga has given her recognition in the Maui community and globally with her warm, spirited guidance in the classical as well as modern approaches to the practice. Nadia's enthusiastic and welcoming nature has provide the transformative experience of yoga and wellness with a variety of offering at two Maui studios, Paia and Wailea, as well as the popular, new Island Fresh Cafe at the Paia location.
Shakta
Shakta teaches chanting, meditation, and the practical application of the yogic philosophy. As the studio manager he provides orientation and general support for the needs of the trainees. Shakta integrates his practice into a whole lifestyle which included gardening, farming, and nature as well as serving, chanting, and singing with a local satsang. Drawing on the ancient teachings of yoga through the Yoga Sutras, ashtanga yoga, sanskrit verses, and the deities.

You will enjoy daily to practice and study at the beautiful Maui Yoga Shala, located in the idyllic town of Paia, a treasure on Maui's north shore. Located in the former Paia Train Depot, Maui Yoga Shala strive to be a portal for all seekers to connect deeply with their own bodies and each other and move as their hearts desire.

Food
The lovely, open-air Island Fresh Cafe is located in the shala where you can dine during your breaks from training. The cafe offers a nice selection of locally sourced, organic meals and menu items. Vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian options available. They also have bowls, smoothies, and coconuts!
The meal plan includes menu offerings for lunch and breakfast. You’ll pre-order for breakfast and lunch Monday to Saturday at the beginning of the day and enjoy a tea or coffee or some local fruit. The meal plan can be purchased anytime after registration. For scheduled breaks, see program schedule. You can also bring your prepared meals and snacks for the day with you in the morning. They have a fridge at the studio to place your food items.
Things to do (optional)
When not in class, there will be time to swim and snorkel in the ocean, enjoy the pristine beaches of Baldwin, Paia Bay, and Ho'okipa, watch the sunset, hike in the forests and waterfalls, watch the whales, and visit the volcano while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the north shore. You may also book a massage at the studio for an additional cost.

Arrival by car
There are many car rental companies based at the airport. They also have local friends who rent cars if you want to ask after the training begins. Renting a car is not necessary as everything is on walking distance, the trainee house, Paia town, the beach, and the studio. If you would like to go on adventures to explore the island, or go for supplies in the retail chain stores in Kahului, or even bypass the walking you can easily rent a car.
Arrival by airplane
Olease book your flight to arrive at Kahului Airport (OGG), which is a 10 to 15 minute drive from the North Shore and the historical plantation town and surf village of Paia where the Maui Yoga Shala is located. Rental car options are available at the airport. Taxi or Uber service is available from the airport to Paia. Please email your flight details in advance.

- A reservation requires a deposit of 17% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
