The 200-hour teacher training course delivers an intimate comprehensive, theoretical, and practical hands-on training program. Trainees emerge from the teacher training course as confident teachers with a strong and solid teaching skill set ready to begin their careers.
Alongside developing and perfecting the art of teaching, trainees also gain an understanding of the practice of yoga asanas, philosophy, physiology, adjusting, mantra chanting, chakras, anatomy, Ayurveda, mudras, pranayama and meditation, and other traditional and contemporary yoga techniques.
The curriculum takes you through the essential elements required to deepen and enrich your yoga practice and to teach students with confidence. Nepal Yoga Academy's expert team of teachers will guide you through the fundamental stages to teach with ease.
The course delivers a comprehensive, theoretical, and practical hands-on training program. Trainees emerge from our TTC as confident teachers with a solid teaching skill set ready to begin their careers. Alongside developing and perfecting the art of teaching, trainees also gain an understanding of the practice of yoga asanas, philosophy, physiology, adjusting, mantra chanting, chakras, anatomy, Ayurveda, mudras, pranayama and meditation, and other traditional and contemporary yoga techniques.
Eligibility to enroll in the course
The 200-hour yoga teacher training course is designed for both beginner and advanced yoga enthusiasts. You can enroll in this certified yoga teacher training course if you have the well-built aspiration to uplift your lifestyle, teaching methodology, level of peace, and comprehension through the yoga teacher training course.
Once you complete the 200-hour course from Nepal Yoga Academy, you will be entitled to a designation of Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) by the Yoga Alliance. The YTT 200 Hours is affiliated with the Yoga Alliance and you will be recognized as a Registered Yoga Teacher across the globe once you complete the YTT 200 course with Nepal Yoga Academy.

Assessment
The trainee will be assessed on class participation, lesson planning, practicum, chanting, and leading a workshop. The trainee will also have to teach a philosophy lesson and receive observations during classes from the teacher. Trainees will receive valuable feedback on their teaching practicums from both the teacher and students and will be required to meet certain teaching standards regarding knowledge of anatomy, asana alignment, adjustments, and communication.
Course requirements
Requirements to apply for the 200-hour teacher training course are an existing yoga practice, an open mind, commitment to learning, and motivation to become a worthy yoga teacher. Applicants with a beginner practice are welcome to apply for the training provided they can display a high level of self-discipline during the course as it is physically, mentally, and spiritually demanding and also highly rewarding.

Dr. Chintamani
His credentials include a Ph.D. (Doctorate) in yoga, a two-year Master’s Degree in human consciousness and yogic science from Gurukul Kangri University in Haridwar, India, a two-year Master’s Degree in Sanskrit literature from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi, India, a diploma in yoga and naturopathy, a diploma in massage therapy, and a wealth of knowledge and experience in Mantra chanting and Vedic Karmkand. He has studied extensively the ancient scriptures such as the Vedas, Upanishads, the Gita, the great six Eastern philosophies, and many other ancient yogic scriptures with some of the top-rated Sanskrit scholars and swamis in Nepal and India. In learning the traditional art of yoga and meditation he studied under the guidance of great Himalayan gurus which inspired him to practice and understand the root essence of yoga. Now, Dr. Chintamani aims to spread traditional yoga from the ranges of the Himalayas (the origin of yoga) to the larger world.

Dr. Chintamani Gautam
Dr. Chintamani has been involved with yoga and it’s teachings for over 18 years in Nepal and India. With this wealth of knowledge and experience, Dr. Chintamani wants to extend yoga from the long Himalaya range (the origin of yoga) worldwide, teaching yoga in its proper form. His yoga classes are full of uplifting energy, fusing yogic, and modern science knowledge with his genuine loving nature and sense of humor. His excellent communication skills and enthusiasm will connect you to the spirit of classical yoga in the Himalayas.
