Maria Elena Calderon is the founder and owner of OM Healing Center. She fell in love with Hatha yoga in the year 2000. She started with gentle Hatha yoga to help her deal with stress and anxiety. Her frequent practice helped her find harmony in her life. She became more aware of her posture, alignment, body movement, and most importantly, her levels of stress and anxiety had diminished. Becoming an instructor became her next logical step, she decided to complete her 500 RYT teachers training in India.

Leelah is a 500 RYT a 200 E-RYT Yoga facilitator trained in Rishikesh and Mysore, India. She is a Holistic Practitioner graduate from Transformational Arts College in Toronto Canada, a Reiki practitioner, and a Sound Journey facilitator. She has had the joy of teaching the authentic yogic styles of Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa krama, Bhakti, as well as the more modern and newly explored practices such as Yin-yasa, Vinyasa flow, Power yoga, and SUP yoga. She travels the world facilitating workshops, retreats, yoga teacher training, and classes in a public and private setting.

Christopher Alvarez is a 500 hour certified Yoga Teacher in Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa and Ashtanga Mysore style. He is trained as a Thai Massage Therapist. Sports have always been a fundamental part of his life. Christopher started Taekwondo training at age five and completed his black belt by age 13. A chronic knee injury brought him to yoga. He took his teacher’s training in India – during his training, his knee was healed. He has been back to India many times to continue with Yoga and meditation training.
