Rishikesh is a very ancient city in the Uttarakhand province of India, and is one of the holiest places situated on the bank of the holy river Ganga. This has been the abode of the great Swami Sivananda, who systematized the obscure ideas of yoga, making them practically applicable to modern time.

Thousands of people from all parts of the world go to visit Rishikesh for pilgrimage, yoga, and meditation.

This training will take place in Tapovan in Rishikesh. There are nearby places such as Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Ganga Beaches, Sivananda Ashram, and Parmarth Niketan for Ganga Aarti. Students can go and visit many shops, bookstalls, astrologers, priests, etc., between Laxman and Ram Jhula.

Arrival by plane

The most convenient way is to take a flight from Delhi to Dehradun. Dehradun domestic airport is around 20 kilometers from Rishikesh. From Dehradun, local cars are easily available to come to Rishikesh. One can also take a car from Delhi airport to Rishikesh, which is around six hours by a car drive.

If Sanatana Yog Sandesh has your flight details, then they may arrange your airport pick up from Delhi and Dehradun at a reasonable price. You may send them your flight details and request for the airport pick up to avoid the unnecessary hassle of looking for taxis in a new place.

Arrival by car

The Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) is located around 240 kilometers from Rishikesh, while the Jolly Grant Airport (DED) is located around 20 kilometers from Rishikesh. From both airports, the cab / car services are available to reach Sanatana Yog Sandesh's school in Rishikesh.

From Delhi, it's around a six-hour drive and from Dehradun, it's around a 40-minute drive. The car fare from Delhi to Rishikesh is around 6,000 INR, and from Dehradun to Rishikesh, it is 1,500 INR.
