Transformative Yoga Teacher Training in Spain

This inner state is shaped by the activity of the autonomic nervous system, the way you perceive internal and external signals, and how you interpret them. In this 30-hour training, you explore Yin yoga through the lens of the nervous system and Polyvagal Theory. You will learn how to meet your own inner state and the inner state of your students with more clarity and skill, so the practice can become a more reliable resource for regulation.

On the edge of the small artist and pottery village of Pòrtol lies Finca Hermosa, surrounded by pine trees and almond groves. Once an art hotel, it has been transformed into a boutique retreat space. Here, authentic Mallorcan limestone walls meet art, beauty, and lovingly curated details.

Time moves a little slower here, and the spacious quiet of nature invites you to exhale.

Program

Certifications

The course/hours count as Continuing Education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) only.

5 Pillars of the training - what you will learn:

1. Yin Yoga, the nervous system, and the body

You will learn the fundamental concepts of Polyvagal Theory and how different nervous system states shape our experience. You explore how Yin yoga interacts with the nervous system, and how elements of the practice influence activation, downregulation, and how you experience and respond to sensation. You also look at fascia and key receptors, and how long-held shapes influence how sensation is experienced in the body.

2. Mapping your inner landscape

This part is about understanding your own nervous system. Through guided reflection and exercises based on the polyvagal framework, you’ll begin to learn about your nervous system's tendencies. You’ll create a personal nervous system map and discover your anchors for regulation that support you in your own practice and life and in holding space as a teacher.

3. Yin yoga poses and practice

Here you will look at Yin Yoga poses in detail - exploring target areas, variations, and ways to adjust poses for different bodies. You will also learn how to practice step-by-step in a nervous-system-informed way and understand what factors contribute to the poses being more calming or activating - offering a clearer understanding of how to guide a practice.

4. Breath, meditation, and visualization

In this part of the training, you will learn breathing techniques, meditations, visualizations, and somatic exercises complementary to the Yin yoga practice that support nervous system regulation.

5. The art of teaching and holding space

This part focuses on shaping Yin yoga classes in a way that supports a sense of safety and connection. You learn to teach from a polyvagal perspective, understanding how your presence, language, and the way you hold and guide a class influence the nervous system. You will also explore how to use touch in Yin yoga.
