The suites are either two-room or one-room apartments. All of them offer A/C, refrigerator, a fully-equipped kitchen, TV. The two-room apartments also offer a fireplace and heating for those who choose a winter vacation.

Overview
This 2-week course teaches the fundamentals of Yoga and Astrology as elements, planets, energy, and psychology relate to both disciplines, which are intimately linked in Indian philosophy. Together, Yoga and Astrology provide great tools for understanding and working on the microcosm, which is the human level.
Yoga Asana classes are based on working with the chakras. Furthermore, the course teaches breathing exercises or pranayama, meditation, restorative exercises, meridian stretching, and relaxation, which are all profoundly therapeutic tools.
The Astrology program teaches all the fundamental principles necessary to start interpreting your natal chart, including:

- Planets
- Houses
- Aspects
- Rulership and piecing it all together

Astrology is taught separately, 2 and a half hours per day. Yogic theory, anatomy, and physiology take up 1 and a half hours per day. Sequences taught are designed to improve both strength and flexibility, as well as bring awareness to the flow of subtle energy or Prana.
Emphasis is on safety, the use of props, correct breathing and alignment, sequencing, restorative asana, relaxation, and meditation, as well as dynamic asanas to improve strength, endurance, and willpower. The spiritual notions of Yoga and Astrology are taught in the theory section of the course.
Focus of yoga and astrology training
- Astrology focuses on understanding and interpreting the natal chart. You explore the signs of the zodiac, elements, polarity, planets, houses, and aspects.
- Asana practice is based on Hatha and Yin Yoga, with a focus on steadiness, alignment, and recuperative poses (reclining postures and relaxation).
- Asana practise also includes the exploration of the Chakras and the Chinese acupuncture meridians.
- Pranayama are breathing exercises to stimulate the diaphragm, vitalise the body-mind, and regulate the flow of energy.
- Yoga philosophy and psychology are based on the Yoga Sutras and the Chakras
- Relaxation: Physical, emotional, and mental relaxation are essential to recover from stress, fatigue, anxiety, and disease.
- Mediation is an essential tool for calming the mind and creating stillness and inner peace.
This 100-hour course is divided into 80 contact hours (with teachers) and 20 hours of individual or group study.

- Basic anatomy and physiology
- Physiological and energetic effects of asanas, pranayama, meditation, and relaxation.
- Benefits and contraindications for all asanas (poses).
- Effects of structural and postural alignment on health and well-being.
- Stress and stress management

- The 4 Elements and the 5 Elements
- The 5 Koshas (Bodies)
Practical information:
Dress code
Please wear comf/ortable plain white, yellow, or blue clothes, no logos. Students are encouraged to wear positive, happy colours which facilitate learning and energy work. Colour therapy and its association with the chakras will be discussed further during the course.
Attendance
Trainees should attend a minimum of 90% of the course.

Instructors
Gerry Rixen
Gerry is an experienced Shiatsu practitioner / teacher as well as a Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT), teaching 200 and 500 hours certified yoga courses registered and validated by Yoga Alliance International since 2011. He started his yoga practice with the Iyengar and Sivananda methods over 30 years ago. He is also a certified therapist in Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine with over 30 years of professional experience. He is founder/director of SYM-Ltd and a 4th Dan Instructor in the Japanese ZEN and Martial Art of Shorinji Kempo.
Location
Mikro Xorio or “Little Village” is a by-the-sea complex of suites built in an area of 25,000 square meters full of trees and flowers. It is a newly built (2008) complex, which pioneers in its use of ecological materials, the internal decoration, and the spaciousness. The external surrounding is ideal for the game of your “little friends”, who can enjoy their sport safely, while you can muse unconcerned about the sea. Moreover, there are rooms for people with special needs.
