Students will stay at Yoga Gita Self-awareness Ashram in Srirangapatna. At the shala, daily classes will be happening. They will mainly be posture classes (asana practice) often combined with short meditations and pranayama.
The entire course will be conducted at Yoga Gita Ashram, The science of consciousness, located about nine kilometers north of Mysore. Nestled amidst agricultural fields just outside the historical town of Srirangapatna in Karnataka, the ashram borders the serene Kaveri River, offering a glimpse of diverse wildlife.

At Yoga Gita Ashram, a variety of programs is available, from yoga teacher training courses to panchakosha detoxification and meditation retreats, silent retreats, and yoga retreats; all designed to facilitate a deeper exploration of the self through dedicated sadhana.

Yes, upon successful completion of the 200-hour yoga teacher training course, you will receive a certification recognized by Yoga Alliance, one of the most respected accrediting bodies for yoga teachers worldwide. This certification will qualify you to teach yoga professionally and is valid for teaching both locally and internationally.
You can start teaching yoga immediately after completing the course. Sri. Vijay Gopala is recognized as a Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) with Yoga Alliance UK. This accreditation demonstrates excellent standards as set by Yoga Alliance UK. He has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years and besides this, he is a personal trainer who provides one-to-one life transformation sessions and self-evolving programs. Born in Mysore, India, capital of the yoga world, from his childhood Vijay Gopala drawn to the discipline of yoga thanks to his father who guided him.
Location
The Yoga Gita Self-awareness Ashram is located in Srirangapatna, 20 minutes from or about 15 km north of the heritage city of Mysore, and is surrounded by agricultural fields just outside the historical town of Srirangapatna, in the state of Karnataka. The center borders the river Kaveri, where all kinds of animal life can be observed.
The tranquility of nature vibrates day and night through the sounds of the river, crickets, and all kinds of birds. The place is an inspiring environment amidst nature to celebrate life and enjoy a variety of spiritual programs to evolve the self. Srirangapatna has a moderate tropical climate throughout the year, with a temperature that varies from 15 to 32 degrees Celsius.
The historical town of Srirangapatna, named after the consecrated Ranganathaswamy temple, is easily accessible by train from Bengaluru and Mysore, and is also well-connected by road along the national highway from Bangalore to Mysore. It has several monuments that have been nominated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Mysore, Karnataka, India
Mysore is the yoga capital of southern India, and with around 1,000,000 inhabitants, it is the third-largest city in the state of Karnataka in India. Mysore, the city of palaces, is a popular travel destination in South India. It is also totally safe for any tourist and family.
Also called Mysuru, the city was earlier the capital of the Wodeyar rulers. They were great patrons of art and culture, which you can see in the rich heritage of the city.
Located in the tropics, Mysore has a moderate climate throughout the year, with temperatures varying from 15 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius. Yoga Gita is situated in the heart of Mysore City (Gokulam area). It is well-connected and surrounded by many amenities.
Food
You will be provided with two wholesome and healthy meals per day, consisting of freshly made sattvic food with vegetables and pulses from Yoga Gita's organic garden. Also, there will be nourishing soup served in the morning as well as refreshing juice in the afternoon.
Every day, the body will be nourished with two wholesome and healthy sattvic meals that include grains, pulses, sprouts, and vegetables from Yoga Gita’s organic gardens. Food and drinks are prepared from the background of cleansing, matching food combinations, and individual constitutions.
Nourishing soup will be served in the morning, as well as refreshing juice in the afternoon. Fruits, filtered water, and Ayurvedic drinks are also included.
For any allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary needs, please inform Yoga Gita upon your arrival at the ashram, and arrangements will be made accordingly.

- A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
