Program overview

This 35-hour Chakra Yoga Teacher Training is designed to take you on a deep inner journey through the 7 chakras using asana, pranayama, meditation, theory, and teaching methodology. Each day focuses on one or two chakras, progressively building your energetic awareness and teaching skills. The schedule balances active learning with space for reflection and integration.

Led by an experienced teacher of Adi Yoga Shala, this training draws from traditional yogic philosophy and applies it through chakra-focused asana, breathwork, and mindful practices to help you deepen your personal sadhana.

What is Chakra Hatha Yoga?

Chakra Hatha Yoga blends the ancient wisdom of the chakra system with the traditional, meditative, and alignment-based practice of Hatha Yoga. Unlike the flowing sequences of Vinyasa, Hatha Yoga invites practitioners to hold postures longer with intention and breath awareness. Each class is centered around one or two chakras, using specific postures, breathwork, mudras, mantras, and meditative tools to activate, balance, and understand the corresponding energy centers.

In this training, you’ll explore the seven main chakras, one by one, through theory, embodiment practices, breathwork, sound, and sacred ritual. This course is rooted in tradition but presented in a grounded, accessible, and transformative way.

What you’ll learn

This Hatha Yoga Chakra Training will provide deep insights into:

  • The history and origins of the chakra system
  • A practical and modern understanding of chakras through both Eastern and Western lenses
  • How chakras relate to the physical body, psychology, and spiritual growth
  • Yoga asana, pranayama, mantra, and meditation practices for each chakra
  • Working with elements, colors, sounds, and symbols of the chakras
  • Teaching and sequencing Hatha Yoga classes centered on chakras
  • Guided journaling and reflection practices to connect with each chakra
  • Rituals, mythology, and deity stories associated with the chakras
  • How to hold sacred space and guide others through chakra practices with authenticity
