Yoga practices for each trimester
In this pre and postnatal yoga teacher training, the school dedicates a segment to understanding and adapting yoga practices for each trimester, honoring the unique changes occurring at every stage of pregnancy. You will practice daily yoga classes tailored to the needs of each trimester, allowing trainees to experience first-hand the adaptative practices suited for the different stages of pregnancy. Each session is thoughtfully designed to align with the physical, mental, and emotional shifts that occur throughout pregnancy.
Asana alignment
Asanas, or yoga postures, are a cornerstone of this pre and postnatal yoga teacher training. During pregnancy, the school emphasizes gentle yet effective asanas such as modified sun salutations, squats, pelvic tilts, and cat-cow stretches to alleviate lower back pain, enhance pelvic floor strength and flexibility, and encourage optimal fetal positioning. In the postpartum phase, asanas like pelvic floor exercises, modified plank poses, and restorative poses with props aid in the gradual restoration of core strength and pelvic stability.

Meditation is a powerful tool to allow for positive thoughts and we are covering several guided meditation techniques that you can use during your pre and postnatal yoga classes, including breathing awareness, loving-kindness meditation, mantra chanting, visualization, and body scans.

In the yogic anatomy, you will dive deeper into the concepts of:

Anatomical and physiological changes during pregnancy
In the anatomy classes, you will learn more about the physiological changes during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. They will also cover specific pregnancy conditions and complications and how you can accommodate these through the yoga practice in this pre and postnatal yoga teacher training in Germany.

Eligibility criteria
- A completed 200-hour yoga teacher training with a Yoga Alliance-registered yoga school (RYS) is mandatory to join this 100-hour pre and postnatal yoga teacher training.
- The minimum age to join this course is 18 and the maximum age is 70 years. If you are older than 70 please provide a medical certificate. Your safety is important for Anandam Yoga School.
- You should be able to speak, read, and write basic English as this course is conducted in English.
- You have to be open-minded and interested to learn ancient teachings and the traditional way of yoga.
- You must be physically and mentally healthy and fit.
- You have to provide a medical certificate if you are going through any treatment or have any injuries.

Sandeep Atri
Yogi Sandeep Atri was born near kurushetra, Haryana which is the land of Mahabharta (a place where Krishna briefed path of truth to his disciple Arjuna via "The Bhagwat Geeta'). His first master was his mother, who is a follower of Bhakti yoga. So Yogi Sandeep Atri was learned path of yoga in childhood time from his mother and other family members because all are devotes of God. He is the spiritual speaker and very keen to learn and teach yoga so he is always travelling around in Himalayas and other places to enhance his skills.
Katharina Austermann
Katharina is an E-RYT 500 hours with Yoga Alliance. She is the owner and founder. She has a PhD in nutrition science is the nutritionist and anatomy and physiology expert. She is doing nutritional counseling for intuitive eating and hormonal well-being and is a teacher for traditional Hatha yoga, Hatha Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Yin yoga, asana alignment, yoga Nidra, pranayama, and meditation. After her M.Sc. in Human Nutrition she worked at the University of Bonn organizing and performing human intervention studies.
Location
The training will take place in the peaceful Heimbach in the north of the Eifel National Park, just a 20-minute walk from Lake Rursee, where you can enjoy watersports, go for a swim, and enjoy stunning sunsets. The national park's motto is "Let nature be nature" and in this beautiful landscape, nature can act in its very own laws.
