What makes Divine Path Yoga School's 200-hour YTTC special?

Students who complete the 200-hour yoga teacher training program in Bali will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become proficient instructors of the two primary forms of yoga: Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa flow. These styles will be covered in detail during anatomy and alignment sessions, as well as practical sessions.

The training will ensure that students understand how to move into and out of postures safely and provide suitable variations based on individual body limitations.

Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa flow yoga

Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga

As part of the 200-hour YTTC, students will learn the main sequence of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga asana, also known as yog Chikitsa (yoga Therapy). This style of yoga was created by Pattabhi Jois to help heal, detoxify, and align the body and mind, particularly the spine.

To build heat and connect with the breath, the practice will begin with standing postures and sun salutations. The primary series’ first half, which follows the standing positions, focuses on forward bends that target the back, hips, and hamstrings. The middle section emphasizes flexibility, while the third section blends strength with deeper flexibility.

Regardless of the series, the final positions remain the same, consisting of healing poses designed to relax and restore balance.

Vinyasa flow yoga

Vinyasa flow, also known as Vinyasa Krama yoga, was founded by T. Krishnamacharya. In the modern world, this dynamic style of yoga has gained immense popularity. As part of the 200-hour YTTC, students will explore a variety of sequences, including:

  • Hip opening flow
  • Free flow sequences
  • Peak posture flow

In addition to Vinyasa practice, students will also participate in Hatha yoga and Restorative yoga sessions. At the end of the training, evaluations will be based on how effectively students can teach the Vinyasa sequence to their fellow trainees.

Who should join the 200-hour YTTC in Bali?

  • Absolute beginners ready to incorporate yoga as a lifestyle
  • Intermediate practitioners seeking profound knowledge
  • Yoga aficionados pursuing authentic teacher certification
  • Wellness industry professionals expanding their skill sets
  • Those seeking paradise life-altering retreats

Divine Path Yoga School's program embraces all and sundry - regardless of origin or age - who are willing to take up yoga and share its benefits with the world.

Discover Hatha yoga and Ashtanga yoga in Bali

The 200-hour YTTC in Bali mainly deals with classical styles of yoga: Hatha yoga and Ashtanga yoga Bali. Hatha yoga is relatively gentle and holistic, emphasizing balance, alignment, and breath control; again, it is the most appropriate for beginners in the way it is built up for strength, flexibility, and awareness through practice. It prepares the practitioner to begin discovering yoga in greater depth for more dynamic styles later on.

Ashtanga yoga Bali, on the other hand, is a practice that is vigorous and very systematic, with one's breath being synchronised with certain sequences of postures in that format. Such a dynamic style will challenge you physically and mentally to attain and develop fitness, concentration, and discipline.

Hatha and Ashtanga are therefore joint practices through which participants cultivate a richer understanding of traditional yoga and skills to train students from the most basic to the advanced level.

Immerse yourself in yoga classes and daily practice

The daily schedule will be holistic and comprise very serious yoga classes in the morning, as well as meditation and philosophy sessions as part of the 200-hour YTTC. The day will begin with morning practice, which consists of asanas (postures), pranayama (breath control), and mindfulness. Such a session is meant to awaken the body and mind and infuse energy, clarity, and inner peace.

In the afternoon, sessions will focus on subjects such as safety alignment, application in teaching, and hands-on adjustments. Students will learn to safely and effectively guide or instruct people while increasing their learning experiences and confidence for future teaching.

Evening sessions can often involve meditation, yoga Nidra, and / or philosophical discussions to inspire introspection and development. Gradually, individuals can gain great discipline and self-awareness in connection with yoga through such a daily routine.

A balanced curriculum for real-world yoga teachers

Divine Path Yoga School's 200-hour YTTC certification program in Bali infuses the totality with spices inspired by the island. Expect a curriculum that brings theory and application forefront:

  • Posture practice and alignment: Covering foundational to advanced postures, with in-depth anatomy, sequencing, and safe practice delivery

Syllabus - Modules and hours

Asanas

In this 200-hour YTTC in Bali, asana practice will be the heart of the training. You will study traditional Hatha yoga postures and the Ashtanga Vinyasa series. Each class will focus on alignment, safe entry and exit, use of props, and how to guide others into the pose. Over time, your body will gain flexibility, strength, and confidence, while your mind will learn to stay present.

By the end, you’ll not only master the basic poses but also understand how to sequence them into a complete, balanced yoga class.

Pranayama

You will be introduced to a range of breathing practices to expand lung capacity, balance energy, and calm the mind. Practices will include nadi shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), kapalabhati (cleansing breath), bhastrika (bellows breath), and ujjayi (ocean breath). Each technique will be explained in simple steps with a focus on correct posture and rhythm.

Regular practice of pranayama improves focus during meditation and prepares you for deeper yoga practice.

Meditation

Meditation training builds mental stillness and self-awareness. In this program, you’ll explore different methods: breath observation, mantra meditation, trataka (candle gazing), and guided mindfulness. Each practice starts short and simple, then grows as your comfort increases.

The goal is not only to sit quietly, but to carry this awareness into daily life and into the classes that you will teach.

Mantra chanting

Chanting mantras helps to focus the mind and connect with the deeper energy of yoga. In Bali, you will learn simple Sanskrit mantras like Om, Gayatri Mantra, and Mahamrityunjaya. Teachers will explain their meaning, correct pronunciation, and how to use them for meditation and teaching.

Anatomy and physiology

You will learn the basics of human anatomy as it relates to yoga: skeletal system, joints, major muscles, and their action in poses. Teachers will also explain the respiratory and nervous systems, and how the breath and stress affect the body. This knowledge will help you guide students safely and adapt poses for different needs.

Alignment and adjustment

Here, you will learn how to align postures safely and how to give supportive adjustments. Emphasis will be on verbal cues, use of props, and hands-on help (with permission). You will also study common misalignments and how to correct them gently.

Philosophy

You will explore yoga philosophy in simple and practical ways. Topics will include Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the eight limbs of yoga, basic ideas from the Bhagavad Gita, and how ancient wisdom applies to daily life and teaching.

Shatkarmas (cleansing practices)

Shatkarmas are traditional yogic cleansing practices. You will learn their purpose and how simple techniques can support digestion, breathing, and energy. In this Bali training, teachers will demonstrate safe, beginner-friendly variations and explain precautions clearly.

Teaching methodology

This part of the course will prepare you to step into the role of a yoga teacher. You will practice giving instructions, planning a class, sequencing postures, using props, handling mixed-level groups, and building confidence in front of students. The goal will be for you to leave the course ready to teach your first real class with clarity and ease.
