Program
Prerequisites
You need to have a regular practice of 2 or more years, be open to learning new things, and be really passionate about helping others feel good!
Certification
The training meets the highest levels of accreditation in the UK, and you will get a training certificate upon completion. Each module has a task for you to complete to show your understanding of that topic. You’ll also need to pass your Anatomy and Physiology module, undertake a certain number of classes, and pass your final teaching assessment to receive a certificate.
You’ll be able to get insurance and start teaching yoga as soon as you have been certified. Where totally depends on you, but you could teach in gyms, studios, or start your own classes in community spaces.
How the training works
From the total 200 hours for this training, 55 hours will be onsite (in-person training hours), and there will be 10.5 live contact hours online (group sessions); each student gets 6 hours of 1-2-1 mentorship during the course, and the remaining 128.5 hours are non-contact hours online or reading, writing assignments, and attending yoga classes.
The online sessions take place on Zoom on a Tuesday at 7:30 pm (GMT) and are 90 minutes long. Each session will typically include a presentation/discussion followed by a practice. Replays are available of the sessions if you miss any or want to revise them.
There will be 2 in-person weekends held in a lovely spa hotel near Worcester. These in-person elements are designed to grow your confidence, help you build connections, and embody the teachings. You’ll get hands-on teaching experience, with real-time feedback and plenty of time for discussions and self-reflection.
There will be a final immersion retreat that acts as your rite of passage; you’ll arrive as a trainee and leave as a confident, grounded yoga teacher. Alongside real-time experience of running/hosting a successful retreat, you will take your final teaching assessment in a supportive environment and take part in rituals and celebrations to really end this journey on a high.

Course Information
Hybrid learning
Designed with busy, real-life people in mind, the course blends flexible in-home learning (live and recorded sessions) with 2 in-person weekends at a spa hotel and a final 3-night immersion retreat, spread over 6 months.
Breath-led hatha yoga
In this training, the breath governs the practice, and you’ll learn how to create classes that are grounding, accessible, and well-paced for your students. Stepping away from the current wave of aesthetic alignment, this course will teach you the skills that transform lives, one breath at a time.
Choice, agency and support
At the heart of this training is a simple belief: Yoga should give people more agency in their bodies, not take it away and you’ll learn how to build this confidence in your own student’s practice (and maybe in your own practice too).
A supportive space
You’ll gain the knowledge you need to support your own students, create your own classes, workshops, and retreats, and run a heart-led sustainable business in a safe and supportive space, without exhausting yourself.
Yoga teaching philosophy
Over the space of 6 months, you’ll learn how to teach breath-led, choice-based Hatha Yoga classes that focus on supporting real-life women in their busy lives. The training covers these 5 main pillars in flexible modules that fit around your life, job, and family:
Yoga foundations for real life
You’ll be diving into the history of yoga and its philosophy and studying ancient texts to understand how these practices are still relevant today, in our busy modern lives, on and off the mat.
Yoga for real bodies
These are their signature modules! You’ll learn how to teach beyond the “ideal yoga body," adapting and modifying yoga poses, using empowering and positive language, visual and verbal cues and props, and introducing your students to pranayama and meditation to calm their busy minds.
Yoga for modern life and healthy ageing
Learn how to weave yoga philosophy into your classes to support your students who are suffering from modern problems due to their busy lives, such as overwhelm, stress, and lack of time. You’ll learn how yoga can support healthy aging and how to confidently teach older beginners.
Teaching skills, confidence and inclusion
In these modules you’ll learn how to manage your classes professionally, how to create a safe and warm environment for your students, and ethical teaching practices so that your classes are inclusive and accessible.
Yoga as a sustainable business
In these modules, Ruth will be sharing everything she has learnt running her own business, from finding your niche, to sales and marketing and running retreats. Going far beyond “how to teach a class", you’ll learn how to actually run a business that feels aligned and teach in a way that feels sustainable for you.
