The Bhagavad Gita
The Bhagavad Gita is one of the world’s most profound spiritual teachings - a timeless dialogue that speaks directly to the human heart. Far beyond philosophy, the Gita is a guide for inner healing, clarity, and awakened living. It helps you navigate confusion, overwhelm, and self-doubt by revealing a deeper intelligence within us: the steady, compassionate, unshakeable Self.
Through its teachings on dharma, devotion, meditation, and non-attachment, the Gita offers a path to peace in the midst of life’s challenges. In this training, you will explore how its wisdom can dissolve mental turbulence, soothe the emotional body, and reconnect us to the soul’s innate wholeness. The Gita is not just a text to study; it is a medicine for the mind and a luminous mirror for the spirit.
The Gita is Vidya´s favorite philosophical text, and she has shared wisdom from the Gita in training formats for many years.
Learn the art of healing
- Learn to master your mind, the foundation of true healing.
- Discover the timeless wisdom of the Gita and bring deeper meaning into your practice.
- Transform the way you move, breathe, and understand your own body-mind connection.
Dive into the mind–body connection and unlock the transformative power of yoga
The Holistic Healing training program offers a powerful and profound week immersed in physical, practical, experiential, and philosophical techniques to dive deeper into the transformative benefits, the ancient science and wisdom of yoga. Unravel how to eradicate the body from the tangle of diseases, physical discomforts, emotional and energetic disturbances of the mind. We can finally enjoy real peace.
This module will provide you with enhanced body awareness, proprioception, and confidence to deepen your understanding of the intimate mind / body connection in your yoga practice, especially if you are experiencing pain, injury, or perceived discomfort. Then you can authentically assist others from a place of true wisdom.
Whether you're a seasoned practitioner seeking to deepen your practice or an aspiring yoga instructor aiming to share these gifts with others, this immersion provides the knowledge and tools to unlock the profound healing, restoration, mental clarity, and self-discovery that these practices offer.
This immersion program provides an in-depth exploration into working with mild to serious injuries, issues, and sensitivities in the major systems of the body (immune, nervous, hormones) and will help to equip practitioners and instructors with the knowledge to unlock the transformative benefits of these ancient healing modalities.
How to qualify for the training?
This training is open to yoga teachers, teacher trainees, and dedicated practitioners who wish to deepen their understanding and personal practice. A minimum of 6 months of regular yoga practice is recommended. You do not need to have advanced asana skills - more important is openness and curiosity. You are also required to be in good physical and mental health and willing to engage in reflective, experiential learning. Please note that this is an immersive training designed to balance theory, practice, and self-inquiry.
What you will cover in this course:
At the end of the week, you will have gained confidence in your own self-practice and how to keep a holistic balance and harmony in your health. You’ll be able to help others with certain injuries and sensitivities and understand the issue from all angles. Embark on this journey and discover the beauty of balance and well-being through alignment therapeutic yoga, passive inversions, traditional yoga philosophies, and meditation.
Passive inversions
The ability to invert all the systems in a restorative, safe, and comfortable way so that the posture can be held for longer periods of time. Learn to do the poses, the pose variations, the props needed, and all the benefits. The inversions encourage deep relaxation and holistic balance to 3 major systems in the body: the immune, nervous, and hormonal. This knowledge is valuable and necessary to counterbalance your stressful lives. The speed at which the modern world exists enforces how vital it is to maintain physical, mental, and emotional stability.
Silent meditation
“Silence isn’t empty, it is full of answers.” You will start each day in silence. The passive inversions will also aid the experiential understanding and clarity gained from stillness and silence. Enhance your ability to experience silence
The Bhagavad Gita
Study the ancient spiritual texts of The Gita and the Sutras of Patanjali. Discover the profound benefits and wholesomeness that can be achieved and experienced through the mental science of yoga, and its traditional philosophy and ancient spiritual texts. Often misunderstood to be a merely physical practice, yoga is an extremely wise holistic “system” embedded in overall health, comfort, and healing. Correct prop setups.
Yoga Nidra (one evening)
The art of conscious relaxation. Yoga Nidra, often referred to as deep yogic sleep, is a guided meditation while lying down that facilitates deep relaxation, heightened self-awareness, and sensitivity.
Additional techniques and tools
Explore incorporating additional techniques and Ayurvedic connections to various postures and themed classes: twists, backbends, forward bends. Which elements do these asanas inhabit, and how to create balance when something is “off.” Deep dive into alignment yoga!
Natural and nasal breath
“The breath is directly correlated to the state of mind.” Experience all aspects of natural breathing and use the breath as an objective teacher and guide.
