Instructors
Vidya Heisel
Vidya is an internationally-renowned master yoga teacher with over 45 years of teaching experience as well as a deep and experienced knowledge of yogic philosophy and meditation. She studied and taught for six years in India. Her early yoga teachers include Patricia Walden, Rodney Yee, Ana Forrest, Larry Schultz and Leslie Kaminoff. She founded Frog Lotus Yoga International in 2000. She has trained thousands of yoga teachers and led over a hundred 200-hour yoga teacher training. After teaching around the world, she created her own yoga retreat centre: Suryalila, in Andalusia southern Spain.
Lisa Dunn
Lisa is a yoga teacher and self proclaimed life-enthusiast whose playful approach to her practice mirrors her free spirit. She travels the globe offering yoga retreats, workshops and trainings. Keen to share the liberating effect this 20-year practice had on her life, Lisa became a 500-hour certified teacher with Frog Lotus Yoga and has been a well-loved teacher for twelve years now.
Bruna Pons
Bruna found her second home in Asia. Her interest in human nature, health, and well-being inspired her to study Nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture, and yoga. She integrates yoga and TCM as the foundation for her teaching, bringing a therapeutic, accessible and light approach to yoga. She has trained hundreds of yoga teachers and led over 20 Yin training programs.
Sakhsi
A journalism major in college and former oriental art publicist, her inquisitive nature gave way to a strong desire for an alternative lifestyle and self-inquiry which turned into a lifelong passion. In recent years she trained in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin yoga, and traditional Chinese massage. Sakshi likes to focus her classes as a space to enjoy the body, release burdens, look within, (re)connect with the breath and integrate the physical, mental and emotional benefits of the practice.
Katrina Petney
Throughout her life Katrina has been fascinated by the human body and mind. A combination of science, philosophy, yoga, and meditation guide and inspire her professional and personal life. Her background in biochemistry, biology, education, and yoga, along with her interest in mindfulness, neuroplasticity, and the body-mind connection, serve as the foundation for her teaching.
Niamh Colfer
Niamh Colfer brings over a decade of expertise to our training program. Grounded in strength, mobility development, and postural alignment, her teaching offers a dynamic fusion of strength, release, and mindful movement practices. Renowned for her insightful approach and creativity, Niamh seamlessly integrates wise movement with strength training principles and myofascial release in her classes. By guiding students to explore their bodies, overcome limitations, and find freedom in movement, Niamh empowers them to become the masters of their own physical well-being and also gain skills.
